Like to hear some ideas for music that gets girls in a romantic mood. I was thinking a little Rod Stewart or Barry White. Any other suggestions?

Luther Van Dross & what the above poster said is correct except for the Barry White statement. Barry is a VERY good one.

I don't usually give away personal gems of gold, but here's a company that is so good, I think all DJs should have their music in their arsenal; here's the link...

Throw in a little soft instrumental jazz. I know most ppl hate Kenny G, but some of his stuff is really good for romantic background music - so is any soft saxophone jazz.

I don't know there was this model that I dated who was a freak to Rob Zombie. But, I don't know that I would recommend that to just anyone.

Personally I like Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. I mean Nina has songs where the sex just drips from every word. Or you could get some classical guitar music, that stuff rocks too.

Most people seem to giving classics which I agree on... But how about impressing her with your culture of new RnB that sets the mood?

Here are some artists you should DEFINITELY look into (my personal favorites):
Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Donell Jones, Dru Hill, Ginuwine, iMX

And if you liked the above check out the following:
112, 3rd Storee, Avant, Babyface, Carl Thomas, Craig David, Houston, Jagged Edge, Jaheim, Jersey Ave, Joe

I also have to recommend Maxwell here.

Avant is another good suggestion.

The best is just good ole jazz. Nobody in the history of music has been able to play a *****cat ballad quite like Ben Webster. The man's tone was just deep and smooth.

Seriously, get a copy of Ben Webster's See You at the Fair. Not every song is a ballad, but man, he can play.

I agree with avant and musiq. You could also try some adina howard, jahiem, or ginuwine. Might have to pick out the slow songs and make a good playlist, though.

I also recommend some Lil Jon or other "crunk" music. It's not romantic but its fun as hell and a good way to change things up. I know it sounds crazy but you should try it, girls really get into it.

Maxwell's "Urban Hang Suite" or "Embrya" any either of DeAngelo's albums you can play nigh beginning to end. They have always worked for me without fail.
