It's not about how much time to spend on vices but instead what is a healthy mindset to have if you are to enjoy them. Is there an issue with saying playing poker at the casino once per month so long as you can create a budget/time limit for yourself, say $100 and you plan on being there for a few hours. Or, does something like this create the possibility of becoming a gate way to other issues and is it better to just avoid it all together? Is it something to maybe not even do regularly and just go once in a while when you feel like it?
My brother goes to AC or Mohegan Sun up in Connecticut once in a while to gamble at casinos. Maybe 3-4 time per year. He nearly always comes back in the red ~$1K. His buddies too. One of them blew like $3K at blackjack last time. They go, hit the bar, eat at a nice steakhouse, flush their hard-earned money down the toilet until maybe 2-3AM or so, pass out, then come home. He's never like "aw man, it was a blast, you should come next time!" He's pretty subdued and gloomy about losing money. "Hey man, how was it?" "Yeah, it was okay. I lost. A lot." I literally do not understand it. But I guess they can limit it to a few times per year, and I assume they think the trip overall is fun-- fancy steakhouses, nice hotels, getting drunk together etc. because they keep going.

So, $100 per month on gambling. $1,200 per year. Think about it. That's not chump change. I won't even bother listing the better uses for that money I have than giving it to a casino or another gambler.

Ay you gotta realize that all these realms are of the wicked. gambling booze strip clubs, its all the realm of the devils. Devils are everywhere and they just want to see you self destruct. For some, gambling addiction is worse than a drug addiction.

Casual dating is also the realm of the devil. it might sound funny from a playa like myself who manipulates women and has been in more boxes than an electrician (box = poosy) -- but i know what im gettin myself into. my spiritual philosophy is quite different than most people tho

Once you realize that you are dealin with the realm of the wicked/ where devils lurk with invisible hands -- you start makin betta choices and learn to control yaself more. It also helps to have homies who would clown you for makin bad choices.

Yeah, I would never gamble with anything remotely like that despite the wealth that I have. I caught myself with this thought last night, "$100 is nothing to me, just go have some fun for a bit.". I partially feel that this is ok but I totally see how this could turn into something else. While I do enjoy playing poker, I feel like this should be more of a social thing with some friends you have over for beer and pizza, etc.

I personally can cite tons of examples of adults I knew/knew of growing up that had major gambling addictions. There was a taxi driver I knew that for years and to this day was at the track or casino almost every single day, literally. Obviously he was completely broke and he for years was living in a dirty and leaking basement in the home of some jewish family he knew. He also wore the same tattered and dirty clothes every single day. Granted, this is a more extreme example but I've seen this for myself.

I used to be friends with a guy around my age that was a big poker player/gambler, he ended up being a fake friend that was around for reasons other than actually liking me and he has been cut off from my life since the spring of 2020. Anyway, he was a financial advisor and had a side hustle basically day trading with not only his own money but with that of his clients, which I'm not even sure of the legalities of that. He ended up completely going broke but also lost a ton of his clients' money from essentially gambling with it, which I honestly consider day trading to be. I did hear that there was some other stuff going on that caused his financial professional profile to essentially to have a black spot on it and now he can't work in finance. I hadn't spoken to him in months and shortly after I found all this out I actually crossed paths with him and he couldn't even make eye contact with me.

Also, $100 per month would be $1200 per year. I wasn't planning on going every single week but as you said it adds up very quickly. I honestly could just get a massage every single week.

Despite the ebonics language and the laugh it provided me there is a lot of truth in this.

Just avoid them! There is a reason they call them “demons”... some people can have a glass of beer with a meal.. and stop and others start this way and next thing you know they are drinking two jugs of bankers club a day. Same with gambling... find your dopamine fix from healthy sources. Exercise, good food, hiking, sun... spending time with family and friends.. talking to a beautiful woman. Don’t gamble... try not to drink in excess, don’t so drugs, don’t visit hookers... get yourself off porn... these are all vices and Lead to nothing but pain and suffering!

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

haha ebonics.. thts pretty funny man . i just talk like this because i been influenced by hip hop my whole life (growin up in NYC, the mecca of Hip Hop)-- people fucc with it tho, women tell me that i have a unique and interesting personality before they even really get to know me

but that aside, ay man we could have a whole conversation about the wicked realms.. its somethin i learned about many moons ago but i never forgot it. i used to hang with some questionable individuals, dudes who pushed drugs, dudes who pimped women, so some of the stuff i say is pimp lingo too, but besides that-- it made me realize there are def devils amongst us, and devils that control these realms. we just ignore the knowledge that was given to us, and that multiplied across the world to so many cultures and in so many languages --

the wicked realms are somethin else tho... back hwen i was doin way more wild and illegal sht, its almost like i got more perks from doin it . see the people who purvey and manufactuer the evil, the pimps, drug dealers, agents who set up gambling rings, casinos, etc are rewarded in many ways, but the low lives who subject themselves to the drugs and the alcoholism, goin to bars every day, or strip clubs often, gambling their money away are the ones who face the negative consequences of it and self destruct slowly and gradually.

The underworld is a crazy place.. theres a whole system and ranking that goes along with it... If you ever want to chop it up bout that, let me know-- i can give u some contact info and i can share my experience

Now I have issues too as I just renewed a subscription I keep subscribing to Onlyfans. Yipes. I have a headache after doing that and fapping. Like the talons of a devil perched on my head. Felt heavy and slight headache aftrt. I started.with one now I have like a number of subscriptions. Listen to these people and run from vices since these devils are real and they have talons when they perch on your shoulders or head and then you have to hope they go away once you stop.

That was me and blow. $100 for a gram. “Only $100, no big deal, I make good money.”

Those grams, those “no-big-deal” $100’s added up quickly to thousands. At least with those vices, booze is a social lubricant, coke is social rocket fuel, so there was ancillary benefit to socializing, making connections, pulling hot girls etc.

Gambling offers none of that. It’s just destructive to your finances for no ancillary benefit.

Obviously alcohol and cocaine are more addictive than gambling, and unlike gambling which can make life miserable, booze and blow can make life short.

With a massage, that’s a good reward for yourself. It adds real value to your life and makes you feel good in a healthy way. LeBron James spends $1M per year on deep tissue massages. That’s not a bad investment.

And if there was ever a day trader who has beat the S&P, he’d be running a hedge fund. I consider day trading and even stock picking to be gambling. I stick with mutual funds and ETFs, I’m risk-averse when it comes to money.

Honestly, my main hobby with the free time that I do have is primarily working out/training in the gym, which is something I've enjoyed for quite a long time. Outside of this I don't really have a whole lot of time on my hands, last evening was a rare exception. Between working out, my job, maintaining assets and some classes I'm taking I just don't have much energy left to do much.
Need to find other hobbies due. Read, make Youtube videos on a hobby or working out. Need to keep your mind stimulated.

Sht at $100 a gram I know that sht you was getting was premo. At the end of the day, a lot of people do cocaine-- aint nothin wrong with it unless u dont know how to handle yaself. Me, I strictly stick to drinking.. a lot of people I know smoke weed and drink but weed got its downsides.. I like to stay sharp and on point at all times, so even when I drink, I pace myself..

At the end of the day people would be surrpised to see what a real list of cocaine clientele looks like in a big city..
