While working at my high profile job shelving books at Boders, I came across this fashion book that I think is the ultimate guide to peacocking ideas. It is a photography book of Japanese kids dressing outrageously. Some of you might be aware of this fad already with Harajuku kids and such. And yes, many of the outfits are probably too bizzare and silly for you. This book is nothing but photographs of various outfits; some of them are ridiculous, some are cheesey, but some are subtle and interesting. If you need peacocking ideas, surely you might be able to put something together by looking at some examples in this book. You don't have to dress up like a clown like many of these kids, but you might take small parts of the fashion and create your own look.

The book is called Fruits and another book called Fresh Fruits. Here are the Amazon links, but you will need to look through the book yourself to get a better idea of what is inside.

Not always. Furry purple vests and painted eyeball rings, anyone?

That trend reminds me of the kandy raver kids that were around for a while. I haven't determined if the US has already seen that fad or if it'll come back around in a different form.

Hopefully, this "Peacocking" trend in the PU community will soon come to an end, much like lame opinion openers.

A don't know why people bash on PUAs way of getting girls. How you going to say opinion openers are lame if there getting laid with it. Are u getting laid as consistently as those PUAs? I know i'm not thats why i've started looking into that part of the community. I find some or most of there info useful. Who wouldn't want to have a Project Hollywood or Project Austin. Some of there stuff may be out of character but thats just it we were too much about our persona. For one day just let go and try everything, don't worry about what she thinks or any of that just run game on her.

I know for sure Peacocking draws attention as one of my friends peacocks and way more girls look at him than me and my generic clothing. When i do peacock girls look at me just as much.

Yeah I'd stare at you too. But it wouldn't be because I want to get in your pants.

You've also got to consider the intended audience. I dress very nice often, khakis with nice shoes, tucked in button-up shirt and a belt.

Some women like it, but in my area I often feel like I am "fading into the background."

Put on some really comfortable baby-blue adidas basketball shorts and a white Miller Lite t-shirt tucked in this morning strictly for temporary comfort. Also wore a pair of dark blue Timberland sandals. My girl was digging it so much that I stayed in those clothes much of the day and got excellent reactions from women. My confident swagger combined with the somewhat odd outfit seemed to work like a charm.

Got great attraction right off the bat from a really cute checker at Wal-Mart, then got checked-out several other times.

Different is often preferable to women.

I also remember going downtown once in a white short-sleve button-up shirt with a white tank-top underneath (button-up shirt worn open), either jeans or khakis, and a pair of yellow Timberland boots.

Came up on three hotties coming my way, 2 8's and a 9. The 9 was closest to me as I passed. Noticed they had 3 college looking guys following behind (presumably their dates or boyfriends). The 3 guys were each decked out the same: really beat-up ball cap, nice button-up long sleve shirts, jeans with huge holes in the knees, and birckenstock-style sandals.

I got great eye contact and smiles from the hotties, particularly the 9 who turned her head to look directly at me as I passed. I think most of their attraction was because I was dressed well, but differently than they are used to seeing.

In summary, I've had good success in clothes I look good in, but are often the opposite or much different than what everyone else in that setting is wearing.

But I generally dress conservatively and avoid wold patterns or clothing that will look "dated" in the future.

If I went out 4 nights a week (Which I don't have time for) and approached 12 sets per night or whatever, for as many month/years as these guys have, I'd probably get laid as much as these guys claim that they do.

So would just about anyone else with a decent skill set.

My ratio of approaching to PU ratio might even be just as good, if not better.

Stuff like Peacocking and Opinion Openers are crutches that prevent you from becoming a DJ

Think about it.

These women know why you're asking them their opinion on something, and it's not because you care who lies more, men or women, it's because you want to meet them and get to know them, only you don't have the balls to be honest with them or yourself, so you hide behind something lame like "Do you think David Bowie is hot?"

If I paid $2,000 for one of these RSD Seminars and they told me some lame s*** like that, I'd immediatly ask for my money back and leave.

BTW, I'm 45 and manage to pull women half my age, on a fairly consistent basis.

Wow that's a lot of colors....

I've seen some international students walking around kinda like that, but toned down about 60%.............

Yeah I don't think they dress like that anymore.

But really, I have a couple of questions I want to put forward to you guys:

Would you guys date a girl that dressed like that in your home country? (for eg. England?) :D

No wait let's start before that:
Would you approach her if you saw her in public?

yes every time i see the word peacocking on a thread i shake my head and say to myself like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon : " I'm too old for this $hit "

i have never used an opinion opener i guess i am old fashioned

and as for dressing up in a fancy costume

what does that do again ?

someone please explain peacocking to me

i have never seen James Bond wear a koala bear suit to make small talk

some of you younger men seem to thrive on the idea of being made up to attract crowds of onlookers

but forget about me i guess I'm just too old for this $hit

**AUSTRALIAN STREET PIMP**

" stop being insecure " i hate that saying. it's a cop out for not having enough balls to confront a woman about what she is doing THAT IS WRONG or potentially damaging to a long term relationship. – Lost In Translation

Sadly, some here who inquire about such tactics wouldn't know the difference.
