wsup guys

last friday i placed an order on Letstalk.com for my bosses company. I had ordered a sprint 3000 min family plan with a Palm Treo phone that they had a special on for $99.99, a UTstarcom PDA $149.99, and a razr that was for free.

I paid for everything using his corporate credit card, got a confirmation, called the Letstalk.com headquarters and they said everything is fine and we should be receiving the phones in 2-5 days.

Today i call the headquarters to check up on everything and the guy says "sorry sir the phones are dropped and we dont carry them anymore"

Any advice on what i can do? The next phone closest to the ones my boss wanted is the Mogul which is $299.99.

Its fvcked up how on the friday i ordered the guy checks everything, gives me a confirmation number, and tells me to expect my package in 2-5 days, not only that I PERSONALLY had to call to check up on the order, they didnt even bother to let us know.

Id personally like to put a little legal threat against them and have them give us the Mogul for $149.99 or even lower.

How should i go about this?

Tell them it was their mistake, so they have to give you a price match for the Moguls (by the way, what a weird name for a phone). Try to have some evidence of what you initially ordered also. Call them up and ask to talk to the highest manager possible, and then just ask them for a price match or whatever you want. It was their mistake, they should do it.

Worst case scenario, tell them if they don't, that you'll tell your friends and all the people you know to never use Letstalk.com because of their sh*tty service, ordering, etc. Usually it won't lead to that.

But anyway, that's what I did last time at the airport. Going through the security checkpoint, the guy forgot to give me back my boarding pass. I went back, and they had lost it. So, I went to the desk and told them to give me first class instead of economy, since they had lost my boarding pass. They re-printed my boarding pass and gave me a first-class seat. Granted, of course, there were seats available in first-class.

Still, you just have to talk to them and explain your case. No need to go Los-Angeles on them and threaten them with a lawsuit. Like I said, worst case scenario, just tell them you deal with a lot of people/friends, and if you told them how crappy their service is, then they will lose a lot of customers.

Last idea...I have heard of people doing this, and it works. This is only if you try everything and they don't give it to you. Go on youtube, and make a complaint video about them. Explain everything, tell them they suck, and be creative at it. Then send them a link to the video, so they can see how their reputation is going down the drain just by not giving you a little deal. They'll probably give you some free phones.

True story, this guy had a problem with his Macbook. He made a youtube video of throwing his Macbook down a 10-story building or something like that, and smashing it with a sledge-hammer. Not sure exactly, but he basically broke the thing to pieces. About 2-3 days later, Apple called him and sent him a brand-new laptop (for free). And there are other stories like that with other companies.

By the way, totally unrelated...maybe your PM box was full, not sure...but anyway, I was in Tehran for about 1.5 months..it was fcuking amazing. I'll be there again next summer anyway, we should hit up Iran-Zameen (the street), if you know what I'm talking about. :D
