Master Don Juan
I grew up in South Bend, Indiana. I'm somewhat of a rarity as I hate the Irish with a passion. Private school full of a bunch of rich snobby kids, for the most part. It's sad too because South Bend is a bit of a run down, crappy town. A-lot people here are working class, poor people. Notre Dame wouldn't cross the street to take a p!ss on a-lot of the folks in town here, yet this whole town seems to love Notre Dame.
As a sports fan, however, this is the national title game we all dream of. You've got the good old boys from down south, the public school powerhouse in Alabama going up against the Catholics. The private, rich, well to do elitist school of Notre Dame.
It's good vs. Evil!
You've got two ridiculously good defenses, although I REALLY do question how good Notre Dame's defense is. In my opinion their only really impressive win was @ Oklahoma. I mean they needed a last second field goal to beat a 6 win Purdue team, and 3 OT's, count em 3, to beat a Pittsburgh team that lost to Youngstown state.
On the other hand you've got an Alabama team that came back in Death Valley, Louisiana to win the game on a last minute drive. That's tough sh!t to do right there. I think Bama's loss to A&M was more impressive than ND's win over Pitt, lol..
But again, I'm biased. All year I've talked about how overrated ND is, but the fact of the matter is they've gone undefeated, which is hard to do no matter who you play, let alone with their schedule of blue blood teams. So I really don't know how to call this game. I'm hoping with all my heart That Alabama absolutely blows them out. But, in the pit of my stomach I have a feeling ND might make this a game. Fuc-k.
Don't get me wrong, I'm an INDIANA HOOSIER fan until the day I die. That's my home state school, my home state team, and where I earned my degree. But on January 7th, all I can say is....
ROLL TIDE!!
