I bought this Nitric Oxide expecting big increases in my lifts. I love the taste of the stuff the Fruit Punch flavor is great. But the reason I bought it for isn't coming through. Have any of you seen results from the stuff?

why did you expect big increases in your lifts? do you know what NO2 is and what it's supposed to do? are you eating properly?

don't mean to sound like an ass but whenever someone says they bought xxx supplement and expected 'huge gains' it's more a case of them having bought into the supp hype..

Why do you guys feel like to need to mock me? It's a freakin supplement. Supplements help you get stronger and bigger. I lift heavy, so why shouldn't I expect results why I bought the stuff?

Bro, I'm with you. I hate when certain posters hover around here, and make a joke at your expense. I agree 100% with WA majority of the time, but there's no need for the minions (which I'm sure he doesn't encourage). You are ignorant just like the rest of them once were. Bodybuilding isn't a who can spend the most money competition. It's a 1+ year marathon of eating big, lifting big, and sleeping. Supplements are like getting a WR when your OL sucks. You can have all the TOs, Chad Johnsons, Steve Smiths, but that means nothing if your Offensive Line can't give your QB enough time to throw the ball. You need the foundation, to make the supplements take you to the next level.

No, they don't - that's the issue.

I asked you what kinda gains you expected for a reason.. and if I told you to stack creatine/taurine/arginine in gatorade and take that instead of the Nano, you'd most likely stick with what's in the coloured bottle, right?

point being, NO products are unnecessary for many people. as I said on another thread, I pulled 450 raw within a year of lifting.. I wasn't even taking creatine at the time 'cause I had no money for it.

If you have added a supplement to your regime and you're still not gaining then your training sucks, or your diet sucks, or both, it's not that one supplement that's make or break.

maybe EFFORT and I did sound a bit condescending, but we hear this kinda stuff all the time.. and it's almost as laughable as some guys attributing their gains to whey protein or brand xxx creatine, it's all bs.. if you are eating and training smart you will gain. if you're not gaining it is not the fault of your supp regime.

I've never used the stuff but doesn't NO give you perpetual pump? So if you're working out right you should look bigger right?

Warboss knows his shiiite... everyone knows that!

I love preworkout supplements, especially the ones combining Arginine-AKG, with creatine esters, and some stimulants (usually caffeine or other methyxanthines along with tyrosine). I love the vascularity and pumps u get during your workouts. You could easily start an IV in the veins in my lower abs with supplements like NO Explode, Armageddon, etc. :D

However, I think those supplements are pretty much pointless unless you have your fundamentals down. 1-1.5 g protein/lb bodyweight, eat every 3 hours, take a good multi, use lotsa EFAs, take an Anti-oxidant formula, etc and of course train smart.

I do hear the NaNo vapour stuff is crazy.

Like, totally rad, dude. Far out. :D

I wouldn't consider EFFORT anything other than an equal though (he is very probably more knowledgeable than me in some areas given his time with IA).

Sorry man. We just hate seeing people falling victims to supplement companies and wasting money that could be better spent on food. So we make fun of you hoping the next time you feel like buying some bs supplement you'll think back to the time you were mocked and not give in. :) We post here giving all sorts of helpful advice on what works, yet people still search for a magic pill. (Not just you man, get this from friends all the time, one guy the other day comes up to me asking me what kind of creatine i used, then seemed disappointed when i told him the creatine was less than 5% of the journey.)

Again nothing against you, i want the best for everyone here and i don't want you being ripped off.

Thing is you both have many years on me and my brain doesn't have the capacity to fit the knowledge/experience you guys have.

If theres anything i learned from IA its i don't know anything, he has so many different ways of doing things, its insane, very person specific. He even set me straight on the 2g of protein per lb of bodyweight saying not everyone even needs this (Yeah go ahead and smile Omen) but i won't say anymore or i'll probably confuse people here :)

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

as effort says, we ridicule around here b/c it often seems to be the best way to reach arrogant kids who won't take straight advice, but can nonetheless be humiliated into doing the right thing...

For the average dude, building a good physique(lean, flexible, strong, powerful, muscular, fast, and long-lasting) takes many years of doing the right thing. Most of the guys we could all agree on that have a "perfect body" have been lifting for 15 years or more.

Adding a supplement and expecting it to make up for 15 years of work is downright lazy, and deserves to be mocked.

Forget supplements, and stop focusing on cutting corners. Don't miss a workout, hit most of your meals, and get your sleep. Don't worry about anything else, and save your money. Supplements can cost hundreds and hundreds per year... To me, saving an extra 2-4% of time achieving a physique fo many hundreds of dollars(that I'd spend just that amount of time working for) just isn't worth it.

Pay your dues in the kitchen, lift with intensity/consistency, and don't be pedantic.
