When I first logged onto myspace a couple years ago, I would get random girls saying hi fairly often. These days I get none and hardly anyone even clicks on my profile. I'm wondering if you guys have noticed the same. Has everyone moved over to facebook? I'm wondering if myspace is going the route of friendster.

One reason for the increase in private profiles is that people have begun spying on them. Businesses and colleges will actually try to find people on Myspace/facebook and use that information while considering people for hiring/acceptance. I actually had a friend who was straight out asked during an interview if she had a myspace account.

most of those "girls" saying hi to you were just spam programs, and Tom recently won a lawsuit against them

No, I'm not talking about spam bots posed as girls! I'm saying I used to get contacted by random girls who found my profile interesting, some of them I actually met up with in real life. But for some reason, real girls(not spambots) never contact me anymore. Weird. That's why I'm just wondering if everyone has moved over to facebook and which one is better for meeting girls.

Yep. A quick word of advice to future myspace users, set up several different email accounts and use one for your myspace and when you fill out applications, give them a different email. Makes it just that much tougher for them to look you up and spy on you. I set my profile to private a long time ago cause I got tired of my mom using it to keep tabs on me, finding out what I was doing, who I was hanging out with, etc.

they are both the same thing, only girls are sketched out too easy on facebook, and they are more open to talking to random guys on myspace
