Myspace, Good or Bad?

Ok, I know most of you will just instantly say BAD BAD BAD but I am actually looking for responses from the open minded people that cruise this forum.

I am about to perform a test and will let you know the results but I want to know what you think of adding a chick you like as a friend on myspace and chatting with her, maybe eventually setting up a date or talking on the phone?

I will give you my results.

I am currently working on step 1.

The chick that I am working with is one that I see often at the skating rink and I am always catching her glancing at me so I figure that she likes me or maybe I just have something in my teeth.

I am also adding some of the other people I know from the rink so if she asks why I added her, I can always back out of the plan with something like, "I was just adding people from the rink..."

Also, this particular subject has a BF, I am not sure what he is like, but I will find more on that later.

After I get accepting as her friends (assuming that I do) I am going to wait a day or so and see if she messages me. If she does not, I will make a move. I do not want to seem obsessive.

The Mystery Method forums has a whole section dedicated to online game. Myspace is like going out to meet chicks except there's a lot less effort involved. It's a ***** to find some good ones in your area though.

myspace is almost a god send. I love it. I'll see a chick I like in class find her myspace, talk to her on their at first through messages and stuff, get her number through myspace and then go out on a date.

I have done this countless times soooo easy

I must agree, it seems like a good thing to me. I know some consider it wimpy but maybe those are just the guys that haven't caught up with the times yet.

My next question is what do you do about a BF? I do not know the guy, so I can not break Cardinal Rule #1 of not stealing a friends GF but I just don't know how to approach this situation. I do not feel it should be a problem though, says that he is 14 and that she is 15.

Next question, like I said, she is 15 and a Freshman, is me being a Junior and 2 months from being 18 to much of a age distance?

Well, basically I am so dazed and confused right now I don't know which way I am flipping turning.

I got her off Myspace onto MSN were we have been chatting it up some. We go to the same skating rink all the time and I am kicking myself right now because she was standing outside afterwards waiting on her sister and we said high when I left but I should of flipping stopped and talked .

She is sending me so many mixed signals anymore I have not clue what I am doing. I was talking to the owner, so I went out a side door of the rink rather than the exit. I walked out and she immediately waves and I then said HI. WHY IN THE H E DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS DID I NOT STAY AND CHAT

I actually know why, the same flipping reason I don't talk to her why we are their. I am nervous, thats all their is to it. That is 100% of the reason I can hold a great msn conversation and not in person. Am I just destined to be lonely for life?

Also, at the rink I catch her glaring at me, maybe just because I am glaring at her, but yeah. I try my little don't look away trick until she does and usually succeed.

Now, I want to apologize for this post but I just needed to vent.

Anything you can help me with would be great.

it seems like with myspace there's an added resistance esp. with high school chicks because of the crazy **** that perverts do online. anyone noticed that? jw cuz if you start messaging someone and say "hey this is **** i kno your friend *****" it seems like it probly wont get much of a response but idk i've never tried.

Myspace IMO is a way to practice on your conversational skills with girls who dont really matter to you. Ok maybe thats a little harsh but you no wut I mean, a girl who you can talk to that you dont give a rats ass what she thinks of you, so you ll be calm and smooth. Example Ive been talking to this stripper on myspace (who added me) and it amazing I dosnt matter what I say cuz I no Im never going to meet her and if I say something she dosnt like and she blocks me, who cares. As an added bonus she'll go on her webcam and strip for me.

Myspace is a bad idea. It may work for some. But unless you're really good looking, myspace probably wont work in your favor. Myspace is as shallow as it gets. There's no real communication, no kino or any of that sort. All you have is some profile, pictures, and a little text going back and forth. It may work for you, but from my experience it's not all that great. The only time I really game on myspace is when a chick I know that likes me adds me, or a chick I already talk to frequently to keep in touch with. I don't really go out looking for chicks to game on myspace, that's always been a never ending bad experience for me. Most of the chicks are idiotic attention wh0res. You really don't know who you're adding until you meet them.

Ok, update time and time for more advice because I have no frickin clue what I am doing wrong here.

Ok, I think I mentioned I got her talking on msn and we have chatted it up some. I have also tried to end conversations so I don't seem to needy.

At the skating rink I get all the eye contact and everything. I am one of the rinks speed skaters and she will even try to keep up with me if I am going fast.

Tonight I think, hey, I am going to try talking to her what could it frickin hurt? Well, she is in no way responsive. She will say hello and answer my questions but not keep the conversation going like she is willing to do on msn.

She is a freshman, that could be part of the problem. Could it be that she is shy or maybe she is just staring at me because she thinks I am ungodly ugly?

What are you thoughts and what should I do next. I may really make her jealous this coming Saturday too because a girl I am taking to the prom as a favor is coming to the rink
