My views on the pickup artist tv show

If that isn't one of the best quotes ever on this site, I don't know what is. Just think, before there were PUA's, cool guys got laid, now that the world is full of PUA's, cool guys STILL get laid. There are still girls hanging off their arm because the girls WANT to be there, not because they got tricked with some lines or game. BTW-- that is the only reason that any of the hosts on the pick up artist show have anything going for them...they can always fall back on their looks or their $$$ while the average guy cannot. In my opinion, its complete BS and fake.

You are wrong, some of those guys on the show are definitely not good looking. Most of them are average at best, also lot of them are not rich either. I do believe that there is a posibility that the girls on the show might be in on the pickup and hired by Mystery.

I was talking about the hosts of the show, not the contestants. Mystery and the other "guests" who offer advise/help are not average guys at all. Also, don't believe anything you see on TV. TV is entertainment and it is supposed to be fake, so people who think any part of it is real (including the news) are totally deluding themselves. For instance, did you know that Survivor had catering on site during the show? It just wasn't on camera-- you are probably right about the girls on the show. Also, does one wonder how they get such great camera angles using motorized cameras without ANYONE noticing them mounted everywhere in every club and scene they are in?

Its amazing what an editing suite can do for television. I can take any guy anywhere and get lots of footage on him and somehow edit it to look like he is the best DJ the world has ever seen.

Snow, you got a point. Yea, I have my own stuff that works, but I'm saddened at the fact that some of these guys have no life and the popularity of this show has made more internet nerds who talk theory all day but rarely go out and make it happen.

I'm a good talker, I basically do have "My Method" drawing state from within living in my own reality. Certain advice is helpful. I talk to a lot of chicks about the community and the game and we mostly just laugh at the whole situation, which sadly is:

Guys talking about talking to chicks. Some of them only talk. Some of them are weird. Some of them like to help others. Some of them just post on here when they are bored at work. Some of them don't go out and sarge.

Yep I agree 100%...it is pretty sad which is why for awhile I was willing to meet up with MANY newbies to get them into the mix of things, which I ended up getting a few guys up and running. On the forum you have to filter through all the BS posts, KJs, time wasters, etc. This is mainly why I just post in my "journal" to give some value and whoever is ACTUALLY out there practicing they might find even just one thing of value in my journal and it might help them.

From meeting you seemed normal so it wasn't as bad...as opposed to some guys who are just SOCIALLY AWKWARD. It's sad but they need to really just get in there and transform themselves. I personally hang with one guy who was probably the most socially awkward of them all and now he's a REAL cool guy, who I enjoy hanging with.

I think the thing is, there are really VERY few guys who go out and make this stuff work to begin with compared to the amount of guys who sit at home and don't do anything to get better.

I've met almost 50 guys in the community, whether it's hanging out a few times, introducing them and showing them what it's like ACTUALLY practicing infield, etc. Do you know I RARELY see some of these guys, many of them quit or just don't really go out anymore...I was shocked when I recently met two guys who I seen going out alot before, they hadn't gone out for a MONTH...I've also seen many people quit, especially if they don't have a wing.

I wouldn't say mystery's crew is complete BS...but as far as the cool guy thing goes, it all comes down to that. I'm always out and the HOTTEST chicks, more times than not are with some "Unreactive" dude and she is just having her own fun as he chills there...I'm like the social maniac always trying to go in there and take there girls, because those are the chicks I want.

Most of the time you don't see the community guys with the HOTTEST women in the venue. I'm not always with the hottest chick in the venue and I usually always leave a set to go for the hotter chicks.

You are missing the point. ANYTHING that is on TV at any time is edited and fake, as are the actors on the show-- even "reality TV" is fake... The fact that you can download a video which has been processed and has different scenes from different places all pieced together to give the illusion of one congruent scene only reinforces my point. The fact that you are not aware of how that was done only means that the editors were very good...thats all. It was never real. What you don't see is the 98% of the time where that guy gets dissed-- you only see the 2% where his crap works and the rest is edited out. I know this because I was with a film crew for a reality show-- they took 3 weeks (not a misprint) of footage to piece together a 9 minute segment which showed the "reality tv actor" in the best light. It was my job to take the reality TV actors to average places and arrange for the venue to look good in the video. That means that I was to call a bunch of groupie girls and get them to dress nice and show up at the club expecting a camera crew because they were going to be on TV-- also, I had to arrange with club owners to make the club look way better than it was normally prior to crew arrival. In addition to that, I coached the girls behind the camera on how to act to purvey a more natural appearance on video-- that means no waving, no looking down at the lens, no blocking the shot, etc.



People are chosen to be on reality shows solely to increase ratings, they have nothing "good to say" because what they say has been prescribed before the show even starts and if they veer off track from what the producer wants it gets edited out and they do it again and again until the desired emotional reaction is created. There is no "value" in TV, even if the show is supposed to show some sort of value. The sole purpose of any show ever created is to create advertising revenue for a specific target market by creating synthetic emotional connections that the viewer can identify with.
In short, people see what the producers have allowed them to see...not what they want to see. Don't be naive

I haven't watched the show, but from what I understand is that he premise is to pick up chicks at clubs and if you fail you are sent home. The AFCs on this show have no idea how to handle women. I doubt that all they want is a ****, but probably something more meaningful. This pick-up stuff my help them get women, but in no way keep the girl intrested. They willin fact, remain Average, Frustrated Chumps at the end of the day.

That show is bullsht. I mean, I was talking to this chick once and she asked me what I did for a living. I told her I would have to kill her if I told her. I used to always say that sht. But she asked me if I watched the Pick Up Artist. I was like yeah a couple times. She was still into me, but wtf?

Not only does it give chicks too much of a heads up to the sly tricks and con games, it's all smoke and mirrors. I saw last season when the guy who won took some stripper chick to a limo and made out with her. So big fcking deal! If I had a limo, I know some gold digger is going to hop in with me. Most of these kids know nothing about the game, and most of the show is about them fcking up. I would rather see the masters in action, if they are really that good. I even saw those guys fcking up last year, so I don't even want to watch it. TV is a waste of time anyway.

Instead of using "hey can I get a female opinion blah blah .." just launch the main question like "what's the best age for a girl to get her ears pierced, my niece just turned 8 and she's begging her mom to get an ear piercing. I think she's too young for that, don't you think?"

I did something like this yesterday. I didn't actually launch into a pickup routine, but I was looking at an advertisement that looked like it was selling women's shoes to men. I just took the basic idea of a man acting clueless about fashion and asked this nice chick near me if they were trying to pass women's shoes for men's. She leaned over and look at the picture while she pressed her tit against my arm. I could tell later she was looking at me. I got her interest by using my brain a little.

I think the most important part about seduction is that the chick does not know you are seducing her. She doesn't want to be told she is being seduced, she just wants it to happen under the familiar setting of every day events. In a word, I look for opportunities, and I jump at them, I don't set them up beforehand.

I do have a bag of tricks, but I throw them out there when the time is right. I'm learning a few tricks from this site, that's what makes this place so much better than tv. You can interact with other men out there who are trying. This really is an art. Once you get some basic things down, you make it your own art. Art is about leadership. You have to go into the unknown and look good doing it. Some paint with better brushes, paints, canvases, and colors; so go get those things you need. It takes effort and work, and so is life.

Happened today. Just throw it in there like nothing happened.
I asked a girl to borrow 5 cents. Why? Just because I did need it, but I wanted to have an excuse to talk to her. She didn't have it, so I got it somewhere else. Latter she asks me if I got it. I told her *that's a little late* and waited. She comes back, *I could have found one for you*. The next time I see her, she points at me like "you are the man" for no reason.

Was talking with this other chick. And telling her about my dishonest salesman uncle. I love making up stories to tell chicks. Half truth mostly, but good stories, which girls like to hear. She told me it was ok, that's just another way to survive, but I busted her and told her I'd rather make mine honest, and she looked at me with respect. I could tell she was into me then.

I also question girl's honesty, or intelligence and a lot of times they jump up and defend themselves. I know then they are trying to get my attention.
