On Meditation:

One of the ways I've been able to turn my life around is to give myself at least twenty minutes per day to reflect on my night's sleep and to give thanks for how I want my day to begin. My Meditation ritual is as follows:

Usually I sit (sometimes I lie down) with the soles of my feet flat on each other then I take a few minutes to center my gravity and ease into breathing. I breathe in unison with my heartbeat and wait until my mind is calm and my palms cease to sweat (usually 2 - 3 minutes). This is when I'm centered and able to relax into introspection and meditate.

Next, I thank myself for who I am and what I'm grateful for. Then move into pranayamic breathing (you can find various methods on the internet) to cleanse any negative/used energy out of my limbic system and draw new energy in.

From here time doesn't exist. I am oneness. I'm whole unto myself.

When I've completed my adorations and I'm content with myself. I get up and make coffee. Start my day.

If I feel deluged or under an abundance of pressure, I repeat my meditation.

All is good. Try it. The worst that happens is you uinderstand a little more of who you are.

On Magick and Esoteric thought:

I keep a journal/sketch pad on my night table so I can immediately write down a revelation or thought or idea or I can sketch down any visions. Case in point, 2 weeks ago I had a vision of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life unlike I had ever seen. It was surrounded by flames and smelled of molten steel. It was so vivid. I snapped up, grabbed my pad and best drew the image.

I am no artist by any stretch but I knew from my core, as Crowley realized when the Egyptian Godchild Horus spoke through Rose, that this is a pivotal moment in my progression as a man.

I took the drawing to a friend who is a trained artist and we redrew it together until it was the exact image as in my vision.

This is the Karmic Kross:

The same friend who helped me realize the image is the same who tattooed it onto the center of my chest. With Malkuth on my solar plexus.

This is my unique sigil for any manifestations I'll be working. I believe in Magick. Not the tomfoolery Golden Dawn type rabble, where masquerading in Egyptian garb and chanting odes get you nothing but dues from paying members. I'm talking about a paradigm shift on my soul's level. Thelemic Magick is what I've based my unique system of Karmic Magick. I use different paths and practices from many esoteric schools including: Thelema, Kabbalism, Taoist centering exercises, I Ching introspection, Hatha yoga, Pranayama breathing techniques, Khaos Magick mathematics, Shamanism, The Bible (the Old Testament) and The Torah and Talmud (Sephir Yetzirah) and Kundalini meditation. There are nuggets strewn about from other sources but these are the primary modalities from which I draw inspiration.

The misdirected and religiously intolerant will inevitably call me a Satanist or Black magician. I'm the exact opposite. I have tolerance for all religions and I've used themes and references from various different religions and paths of spiritual walking.

I use Karmic Magick to keep me focused on my goals and to solidify myself as an honorable man who keeps an honorable word.

I've of dabbled in meditation recently and was amazed, I really want to get into it regularly but I was unsure how to start. Basically I just have sit, and breathe? I searched pranayamic breathing but didn't manage to find anything apart from medical studies.

There you go SinJester: Meditation 101.

http://www.urbandharma.org/udharma4/mpe.html

I printed it out and had it bound for like 3 bucks so it would be easier to read. I really think it's a good book otherwise I would not have recommended it here, and it's also free!

I personally have a difficult time sticking to a spiritual path.

I think its my dual nature. However, it does give me a pretty good feeling when I relax.

Peace

Great insight, Karma.
Thanks for sharing.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

i never have time to meditate, not even in the shower or anything , because the word privacy seems to be scarce at my house.
however, it seems that my days are better if i say a thank you to my maker when i wake up each morning before i open my eyes, and again at the end of the night as soon as i close them.
as long as i make time to have those early morning thoughts and late night thoughts about how grateful i am for my loved ones and the positive things that provide us with shelter and food, it makes a big difference for me.

Prayer and meditation are a big part of my life and I can't see myself ever giving it up. It is too rewarding especially when wrestling with the Devil ( Matrix). Cheers

Even ten minutes of solitude to practice rhythmic breathing and give thanks for who you are are enough to begin settling your mind and disconnecting your external issues with our spiritual oneness.

Karma,

This sounds like a book i read of a review of called "In the Sphere of Silence" and the jist of it was that the first hour of everyday you don't say anything you just meditate and then devote a little time writing some of your thoughts down, as well as spending a little time reading some material. I'll put the site below:

I personally have never got into meditation although I tried it a few times. Its very hard to stay focused. Not to get into a religious discussion, but Karma are you a buddhist?

Not so much Buddhist as a Taoist. The life force energy is a primary focus and discipline.

But I'll be the first to admit to have stolen ideas and paradigms from a number of different disciplines and religions.

"Genius steals, talent borrows."

I had this exact same issue when I started. My irrational mind would scream and yell whenever I tried to concentrate and silence it.

This was the realization that I had to find something to focus on when I meditate. This closes the door on irrationality and my subconscious goes to sleep while I'm introspective.

I find when I am trying to meditate I notice layers of thoughts. I could be counting to try and gain back my focus and then my mind drifts off while I'm counting. Or I'm thinking "I need to focus" over another thought that was distracting. Anyone experianced something similar when starting out?

It seems pretty powerful but how has meditation affected people here?

Karma I've recently discovered magic (I skip the k, just to be a rebel) myself and I'm very interested in talking to anyone with experience.

This is my principle: everything is possible, therefore if you can imagine it, it can be true. That's what the imagination's for. I find myself taking inspiration as much from fantasy fiction as from guys like Crowley. I don't use circles or rituals, just raw willpower and intuition.

I really do believe that it's a science and I hope one day to help make it understood as such and bring it into the mainstream.

This is the lone paradox with beginning to meditate. You hear your subconcious scream all kinds oif stuff. Persistence and perseverence are the only way to shut it up.

Keep going brother, you'll get there.

Eliphas Levi was an instrumental figure in medieval occultism and was the inspiration for Crowley's early teachings. Crowley added the "K" to MagicK in order to differentiate it between true Western Esoteric wisdom and sleight of hand stage trickery. Being a rebel would be to use the term MagicK in it's proper contextual form.

Everything happens in the imagination before manifesting on the physical plane.

Let's talk brother.
