You can't control her behaviour while she's away and you may not find out about what went on during her trip away. That being the case you can either investigate, carry on, leave (drastic) or maybe just ask her and gauge her reaction.

I myself wouldn't want to make a big deal out of it, but I am pretty good at reading body language and my bs gauge is pretty well developed. I could probably tell of something wasn't quite right.

Why not just be friendly, act interested and see what she has to say. Go in softly, you can always up the Q and A if needed later.
