ok, so I've had success in the past, but only with girls from school. I've never actually approached a girl...lol.

I'm not gonna lie, I chickened out like 5 or 6 times. Then I said hi to the walmart employee and asked her how she was doing. She said "fine" without even looking up, then walked away.

So I go to Kmart, and I see HB9 working there. I walk past...she makes eye contact for about 1 second before going back to her work. I walk around; nobody else there. I come back, and say "Is it always this dead?" She laughs and says "no blah blah blah." I ask her if she's a student at the university here, and she says yeah, and asks about me. I tell her I'm new here (I'm only in this town for 2 days). She is asking a lot of questions, but when the time comes, I say "well, I gotta get going." She says "ok, have a good night" and I say "I need somebody to show me around, what's your #?" She says she doesn't like to give out her # to ppl she doesn't know, and asks me if I have facebook. I say "I don't know if I should give you my facebook info, you might stalk me." She laughs, but still won't give out her #. Kinda stupidly, I try to convince her with "how do you meet new people?" blah blah.

In the end she said "sorry" and I just left. In hindsight, I should have kept the convo much shorter. Sadly, by the time I managed to grab my balls and do some serious approaching, there was nobody left to approach (I'm in a very small town...I wanna go back home :(

Don't feel down dude, you should be glad that you finally cold-approached a broad. And you should continue that way, don't give up. You'll begin to see the results, but you gotta keep trying.

Thanks man, you're right. Nothing bad is gonna happen :)

What would you have done when she said "I don't like to give out my number to people I don't know..."?

Exactly. Well, I'd have said something like "Then lets get to know eachother a little, my name is ARrocket and yours is...?" and continue the convo from that point forward. Rinse, wash and repeat. When I feel that I've built enough rapport, I'd go for it again. We make this mistakes at first, look at my journal (wich I'll update soon enough) for a couple of examples. I went for the numbers too quick and even if I got them, nothing spectacular came out of them. We have to learn to build attraction before getting the diggits. That way the chances that we're seeing the girl again will be much higher. Wouldn't you agree?

I applaud the fact that you had courage to do this.

When I was a kid, my friend and I used to go door to door in the winter time, right after it snowed, and ask people if we could shovel their snow for $20. And sometimes, we'd ring a door bell, and they'd say "no." And we'd say "ok." And we'd move to the next house.

I realized at a young age that the more people that said no, the closer you are to a yes. In order to become a big success, you have to become an even bigger failure.

Check out this video from some of my finest hours. I recommend everyone get goofy like this once in a while just to realize that it isn't a big deal if a girl says "no."

(Note, I do still have some trouble with the cold approach. I find it helps to be in a goofy mood though, check out the video.)

Well, I thought I had built some rapport, and she was giving IOIs, but I guess she was just being friendly. Oh well. I thought of some great things to say afterward...I'll be trying them next time.

Yeah, it seems a bit easier now.

I had my second one today... but it was bad. I was at this Hmong sports tournament (I'm not Hmong btw). Saw this girl sitting by herself....only like a 4 on my scale. My (female) friend dared me to go talk to her, so I saunter up and say:

"Is it always this hot here?" She answers, and I just go into how I had a 5 hour drive here...and she says she did also. And I just went from there. She was digging me big time, but before going for the number I happen to ask what grade she is in...and she said.....8th. Whoa. I'm about to start college. I thought she was 17 or 18 haha you just can't tell with Asian girls :D
