I didn't ask my cousin for exactly why it was bad in his experience. He said you have to train your eyes to look peripherally. He always scopes out the situation VERY, VERY carefully before coming up with a game-plan and doing anything and claims to be very good at reading people. He just tells me that he has mainly negative experiences when he stares.
