Hello people, I thought that for my 100th post, after all the brilliant advice that I have received here I will give some advice of my own! This tip may be more suited to the anything else section of the forum, but because I think this tip could really help a lot of people, I have put it here so more people will see it.
I recently read a book, called “you the healer” it is a self help book that allows you to physically and mentally heel yourself through meditation, before you dismiss it completely I would like to say that with in 1 month I managed to get rid of a lot of my acne, which was pretty bad. You can use this method to heal anything, and the reason I am writing about it here is because you can use it to increase your confidence and get rid of your fear of rejection as well as many other things which will help you become a better DJ.
Well here is how it works, sit down somewhere comfortably, close your eyes, concentrate on relaxing your body bit by bit form for head to jaw to neck etc. then start counting slowly from 100 to 1 backwards in your head (every 10 days you can half this so that eventually you count from only 10) Once you reach 1, picture a health problem going away for example picture yourself taking medicine and your acne going away, you could also picture your self more confident and talking to girls, and say in your head “I am more confident and will not get nervous talking to girls” after 30 seconds or more count upwards from 1 to 10 say the same line again such as “I am more confident and will not get nervous talking to girls” and then open your eyes. Do this at least once a day, you should see large improvements very quickly, the more you do it the better, you should really buy this book if you can, it’s called “you the healer” as well as all this the method also greatly reduces stress!
