Joe The Homophobe
Master Don Juan
We often think of rituals which signal that you have become a man (shaving for the first time, your first girlfriend) but what about movies? what are the movies that can help you on your path to becoming a man? movies that can help you learn the ways of a man?
SCARFACE (Al Pacino, 1983): What can I say that hasnt already said? Al Pacino is to movies what Michael Angelo is to art. Every other worthless actor/actress in this day an age should be shining the man's shoes. Actors these days are more hollywood tabloid material than true to the heart actors such as Pacino, De Niro, Brando etc.
What more can be said? Al Pacino @#%$# unbelievable in this movie. He should have won 20 oscars and then they should have closed the academy! He gives the performance of his life. Inspiring, dramatic, over the top, unbelievable.
THE LESSONS FOR MEN OF THIS MOVIE
ANY MAN CAN MAKE IT, IF HE HAS THE BALLS AND WILL TO DO IT
This is something we should all hold dear. Balls and Will are the most important things that a man really needs to succeed. But in this day an age a man is not supposed to have balls and a strong will (thanks to our feminist media/educational system).
THE WORLD TREATS YOU LIKE GARBAGE, FIGHT BACK
So many people complain about their personal problems through the net yet I say "So here you are chatting through your computer in your house, sitting on a chair, while millions of kids have never even seen a computer because they are so poor" next time you feel depressed and bummed out think about that. Tony Montana is an example of a man that came from nothing and had nothing. He had more problems than most of us dreamed of. He was no different than so many out there who have nothing. That is why I never complain even though life has treated me like garbage. Good things come to those that fight back.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY
Achieving the american dream should not be just for yourself. As the movie shows, Tony Montana goes back to visit his family and spread the wealth to his poor family (even though his mom refuses). Nevertheless, never forget who you are, never forget your blood. Taking care of your family should be a man's top priority. If you make it, don't get greedy.
Tony Montana is the brutal realistic portrayal of a man that was nothing, a man that wants the american dream bad and nothing can hold him back. His mentality is only shared by so many successful people out there. This is the mentality we all need to have. The world can be yours if you put your mind to it and work your butt off, but more importantly fear nothing and have balls.
