5 Simple Reasons Most People Will Never Get Rich
by by Mike Litman

What did I learn about getting rich by interviewing over 20 self-made millionaires?

Well, after interviewing one famous self-made millionaire after another I realized many of the secrets that make them rich while others continue to struggle.

When you understand and do what self-made millionaires do, you get to become one of them. If you don't understand and do what they do you don't get to become one. It's really that simple.

Here are 5 simple reasons most people will never get rich and how to make sure you do:

~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~
Reason #1 - Waiting to start:
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~

Most people don't want to wait for success. But, at the same time, they are willing to wait before getting started on the road to success.

Do you see the problem here?

The longer you wait to get started, the longer it will be before you get the money, success, and lifestyle you want.

Many people are waiting for everything to be perfect before they get going. Therefore, they never get going and never get the rewards.

No race has ever been won (or even finished) by someone who never left the starting line.

Don't wait to get going. Start today on the road to success.

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~
Reason #2 - Being financially illiterate:
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~

The cornerstone of all wealth is understanding the difference between assets and liabilities.

The difference is this: Assets put money IN your pocket. Liabilities take money OUT of your pocket.

Most people think their home, car, and other possessions are assets.

But, the truth is that in most cases those things take money out of your pocket. They COST you money. They don't MAKE you money.

Therefore, by the true definition above, those things are liabilities.

They take money OUT of your pocket each month.

When you have more money coming IN from real assets than you have going OUT to pay for liabilities, you will be financially free.

There is only one way to do this. Which brings us to...

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~
Reason #3 - Focusing on linear income instead of passive income:
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~

One of the millionaires I interviewed said it simply. He said, "if you're not making money while you sleep, you'll never be rich."

Linear income is what you get from a job. You work for an hour and get paid only one time for that one hour's work, and that's it.

Passive income is when you work once but continue to get paid over and over again from work you're no longer doing.

Investing in or creating true assets that provide passive income for you is your ticket to wealth.

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~
Reason #4 - Not understanding or using systems for making money:
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~

A system for making money is anything that allows you to make money without your own effort. In other words, it's an automated way to make money.

All true assets are simply "systems" of one sort or another.

Once you create or invest in a proven system for making money, there is no limit to the money you can make.

Becoming a master of money systems can bring you riches beyond your dreams.

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
Reason #5 - Not being persistent or patient enough:
=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

To finish any race you have to leave the starting line and follow through to the finish line.

Most people create their own failure by either not getting started or not following through, or both.

To get rich, successful, and happy you must have the patience and persistence to cross the finish line. You must not only get started, but also follow through.

This may sound obvious, but it's still the cause of most failure.

Only by joining the small percentage of people who are willing to do the 5 things mentioned above will you have the greatest chances for wealth and success.

It's really quite simple...Decide to do these things and you can get rich too. If you don't do them, then like most people you may never get rich.

Decide now to master the ideas mentioned above and begin your road to success now. Then follow through and watch the difference it makes.

There's confusion out there in America...

About economic success.

They hear "anyone can make it" as "everyone can make it."
There's a world of difference, and broken dreams
and bad economic and fiscal policy are the result.

That is said by those who DO make money, and funny thing is, they make money by laying back and seeing people spend their money on their stuff.

Everyone, unless if they are crippled or ****, can at least be fit, but dont do what it takes, and there is info EVERYWHERE on how to. They could also have a models body, but, same thing.

I understand that to become rich you need to buy more assets than liabilities, but what are some good examples of "assets"?

The only ones that i can think of are investing in the stock market and real estate.

what's up with all of the get rich posts lately?

This is starting to present the same problem as this site in general produces alot.

If you want to be rich, stop talking about it, dicecting the pros/cons of it, seeing why everyone isn't rich, etc, and just start working on it. That's one day closer you are to hitting your goals.

This site... you want to know what this site has taught me about women when It's all said and done?

The DJ Bible, Pook, etc, all of these great posters, who are really great, not taking away anything from them, but all have just repeated the same thing, just in a different language.

It's a numbers game.

It's really that simple. This entire site can be summed up in thoose 4 words. The ONLY difference between me before sosuave and now is that now I don't get down when I get rejected, and I don't get rejected as often.

Back to being rich. Work hard and smart. Learn everyday.

If you are honestly finanically ignorant, go to Barnes and Noble and pick up some books on financie.. I stuided to take the CPA while I was running my business, even though I never planned to take the test, nor could I even if I wanted to, I could pass it now

Everyone can make it, however, everyone doesn't work hard enough/plan right/eventually learn from their mistakes. Working hard without smart is just as bad as not working at all. The guy who grew up in poverty, looks with jealousy and sadness at the kid who was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth, and gets down on himself because he doesn't think he can ever provide for himself like that kid will be able to. But what he doesn't see, is the sacirfices that HIS dad had to make to get to that point, or even his DAD's DAD.

All that means, is he has to work around not being finanically secure. It doesn't matter where you start, all that matters is how you end. Starting at the bottom actually has it's advantages... if you have the right productive mindset, you are hungrier, then anyone can possibly be that was not placed in your position.

I will not go to sleep at night until I have, for the most part, my food cooked for the next day, my day planned, my clothes ironed, my house cleaned (in case someone wants to pop up at your house in the morning to say hi, which, the more successful with women you get, the more often this happens)

I know what I am going to do as far as working out, eating, working.. I know exactly how my day is going to work out. I am constantly asking myself, what do I need to do to make this the most productive day possible. You just can't wake up and say "I am going to be rich!!" You have to ask, what steps need to be taken for me to be where I need to be?

I really didn't mean to be repetitive, I'd just ran into some good tips online while doing some searching for a school paper.

But I'm glad you posted because this was a really good point here...about how you plan your days in advance to achieve the most productivity. I also have started doing this somewhat, but I didn't think about it in the sense of "what steps need to be taken for me to be where I need to be"

I like that.

Don't worry, we need people like you in our society too. People who think "bullsh*t" when someone says "you can do it!". We need people who say "no, you can't do it" as much as we need the people who say "you will". Because the people who doubt you will either break you or make you.

It's my personal belief that anyone can be successfull, but most people won't. It's survival of the fittest out there. Most people want money to fall right out of the sky in a golden bag. They want to win that lucky powerball ticket that turns their life around. Even if they were to win that powerball ticket - Do you think they'd invest in a small business, some stocks or simply let it build interest? No, they'd spend it on all those expensive things they could never afford before. Most people won't go for the bigger dream. They'll settle for less, because it seems more realistic. They won't take the chances that they need to take. Most people will settle for 2nd best or even 3rd best. Some people get so caught up on personal addictions (drinking, smoking, shopping, etc) that their money goes down the drain.

The fact of the matter is that most people will not make it for various reasons. However, if you're willing to become a stronger person. An independant individual. If you're not afraid to dream big. If you're willing to take those steps and work on your weakness's, you'll succeed. That's what I believe. And I believe we need those people who are weak and are unwilling to become stronger individuals, because not everyone can succeed (sadly). But those of us who do succeed will still try to turn that one person whose struggling at the very bottom into a success story. Because we are also human and deep down we are all empathetic and we want to see that one person struggling at the very bottom to make his way to the top. That's why rich people always say, "anyone can succeed". There are a lot of rich people out there that did struggle at the bottom. If you've ever struggled at the very bottom then you know that wishing that upon anyone wouldn't exactly be a good feeling.

That's another thing that I've been curious about. This site is here to help those of us who aren't rich and don't have the looks of a model. But so many posts lately have been how to get rich or how to look pretty. Honestly? Getting rich and having the looks of a celebrity aren't going to solve all your problems. I think that's why there are so many people posting these posts. They think if they just get that one thing that they lack (money, looks) that it's going to solve all their problems. They'll be dating supermodel girlfriends and spending money on the latest fashions. It's not going to solve all your problems.

let me share something with you guys to hit upon what thederekeffect1 said. And it is going to warp everything you have probably thought about success.

My worse time with women, was when I first came into a lot of money.

Did I have women become attracted to me? Yes, that wasn't aproblem. However, it was like going from rags, to literarly riches overnight. The money I could deal with, that I had been preparing for, since we started our company. I knew what was to be saved, how much I could "blow", what investments I would make.

however, what I was NOT ready for, was the number of money hungry tramps that came out of the woods an in attempt to latch on to me for the rest of my life. I had a woman poke a hole in a condom she begged me to try in an attempt to get her pregnant (although this wasn't totally about money, she's just crazy about me, but I do not feel likewise). I had women, who while I have always been considered attractive, not give me the time of day because I didn't have anything to offer, to literarly overnight seeing me in a different light... The same women. I am now realizing that the girl Iw as damn near engaged to, while she was attracted to me because of me, wouldn't have been there if it weren't for what I brought to the table. She recently sent me an email, bragging about how she is ****ing a "rich purto rican guy".. not that I care.. I really don't, but if she was ****ing him because he was rich, why was she ****ing me?

In other words, at 21, although I am very very wise beyond my years, that's one aspect I wasn't prepared for. Partly because i had spent the previous 3 years by myself, in an office, with no social interaction with women, partly because I was just plain young.

I have learned how to be more selective about who I let in my life, who I lay the pipe to and what precautions to take.

It's not fun to know that certain women only like you because of your bank account.

Guys, for the love of god, listen to me. you can spend 10-15 years of your life chasing something you don't really want, just so you can impress some good looking women, or you can take my advice and live for yourself. You will be a miserable person if you live your life for women. If you come into some money, and the only reason you came into it is because your need of confirmation from women, and when you get it, women won't give you the confirmation you need, what then?

As I stated earlier, in all reality, it's a numbers game. That's it. Yes, being rich does enhance the numbers in your favor, but all in all, wanting to become rich just to get women, is a runaround way to try to not get rejected. You think that a woman won't/can't reject a guy with money.

Just live yourself for you, to the fulliest potential, and you will be fine, trust me. Not everyone wants to be rich.. I see why. Alot of responsability. Alot of people wanting your money, alot more options that eariler in life weren't even concivable to spend money.
