Forgive me if this has been done here before, but I haven't seen it. We've seen all of the "most alpha movie male" threads and "your most AFC move" threads, but not a "most AFC movie character" thread.

Anyway, I'll start.

1. The main kid in "The Last American Virgin."

Pathetic. He falls for the new girl, new girl gets knocked up by his best friend, he pays for girl's abortion  because he "loves" her, girl goes back to best friend in the end. I'll at least give this movie props for portraying how it usually goes in the real world.

2. The whining fat wimp in Broadcast News.

Worst line ever: "Wouldn't it be great if insecurity and desperation made us more attractive? If needy were a turn on?"

3. John Cusack in "Say Anything."

Boys meets girl, girl dumps boy, and in typical movie BS fashion, boy kisses girl's a$$, sings her songs, buys her gifts, hounds her night and day, and of course, wins her back.

4. Anything with Alan Alda.

The classic, prototypical "sensitive, new age" man. We seriously need a "puke" smiley here.

5. The title character in "Lucas."

Poor kid falls in love with a girl, girl doesn't reciprocate. She falls for a "sensitive jock" (Charlie Sheen). Kid almost kills himself by going out for football to impress the girl. Happy ending, though; he settles for a much less attractive girl.

I've come to realize that Hollywood and other media are absolutely screwing manhood in this country.

It's nothing but the liberalism that's sweeping the country. The conservatives, thank God, are the silent majority. Liberalism does take its toll, seeing how Hollywood and the entire media is very left-wing. Such a tragedy...

It doesn't. It has to do with the liberal, feminista, "we don't need men", "men succombing to women", mtv, equality bullcrap that has become our mainstream media in recent decades. For example, a James Bond movie portrays a don juan, while the show "According to Jim" shows an AFC and a wife on a power trip, and everyone of us knows when that happens in real life, so does a divorce.

Perhaps try to decipher the underlying meaning next time

I heard that women were surveyed, and they overwhelmingly thought the Alan Alda character was great dating material (fairly smooth with ladies, great sense of humor), and his roomate, BJ, was the sort of guy they would marry.

Haha, speedo_meme, this post is completely unrelated to politics. What are you smoking? I hate when people take any opportunity to voice an opinion.

The disgusting part, of course, is that these stupid movies always follow the SAME formula.

You know what I think? I think they're made for men, not women. Honestly. They're made to present the message, "see, guys? Here's how to win a woman, by kissing her ass and putting her above yourself."

How many guys fall for this sh!t? I know I did for almost my entire adult life.

Damn all movies are AFC, even stiffler from american pie has his moments. Like the title, they are movies, and like most movies they kill the player, almost everytime making him fall in love etc etc. However i do think that sappy movies give us our power, like most love films, the AFC gives out roses buys expensive gifts, basically a dog in which most women walk all over them.
Think of the black eyed peas song"my humps" the lady tells of how all the guys buy her expensive gifts to get 'touch' her lady humps. "my humps"black eyed peas the song dedicated to the AFC's

Oh please... this man makes me physically sick. He is the most appalling English export since... well, ever.

Sample line from any Hugh Grant movie: "Oh I,I,I...I....I.......I was just.... um... y'know... um.... I... was... just wondering if... if... you'd be.... be.... um... so kind as to.... um....er, maybe... if... it's not too much trouble.... um.... er, maybe... um... go for a.... um... a... drink... y'know, of course... if its... um, maybe... convenient?!?"

AND his character always gets the girl at the end... as if that is 'charming' or 'endearing' to women. PLEASE... that man should be shot.

James Bond is no AFC you ****. But he is just a fictional movie character. Floyd, this thread has EVERYTHING to do with how the media portrays movies and tv shows to the public. Seems like you were the one voicing an opinion, dipsh*t.

Jack Dawson from Titanic.

He was a pretty, no wait, very bad AFC in that movie. It also makes me wonder how in the hell that movie won Best Picture.

Agreed. Julia Roberts walks all over him in Notting hill, numerous times, and he still runs back to her.
