Forgive me if this has been done here before, but I haven't seen it. We've seen all of the "most alpha movie male" threads and "your most AFC move" threads, but not a "most AFC movie character" thread.
Anyway, I'll start.
1. The main kid in "The Last American Virgin."
Pathetic. He falls for the new girl, new girl gets knocked up by his best friend, he pays for girl's abortion because he "loves" her, girl goes back to best friend in the end. I'll at least give this movie props for portraying how it usually goes in the real world.
2. The whining fat wimp in Broadcast News.
Worst line ever: "Wouldn't it be great if insecurity and desperation made us more attractive? If needy were a turn on?"
3. John Cusack in "Say Anything."
Boys meets girl, girl dumps boy, and in typical movie BS fashion, boy kisses girl's a$$, sings her songs, buys her gifts, hounds her night and day, and of course, wins her back.
4. Anything with Alan Alda.
The classic, prototypical "sensitive, new age" man. We seriously need a "puke" smiley here.
5. The title character in "Lucas."
Poor kid falls in love with a girl, girl doesn't reciprocate. She falls for a "sensitive jock" (Charlie Sheen). Kid almost kills himself by going out for football to impress the girl. Happy ending, though; he settles for a much less attractive girl.
I've come to realize that Hollywood and other media are absolutely screwing manhood in this country.
