I don't think anyone here has tasted desperate, and this is where a disconnect from human empathy begins. We don't know why the guy stole the tips. We assume he stole the tips because he's an a$$hole who enjoys the rush of swiping $7.35 from a plastic jar? OF COURSE! IT'S SO SIMPLE!
