Hello,

This is my first post here!


Ok I was not sure to post here, because I'm not exactly looking to hangout with other don juaners, but rather to be advised about some local resources.

I really would like to push the online dating aspect of my life. I was wondering if anyone around the Montreal area had any online tips to offer: virtual places to meet women (free would be better but charging ones are not excluded), how to get contacts on MSN and stuff, is mirc a good choice? (and recommended channels) and so on.

I'm really new to this whole online thing and just don't know where to start.

Oh one last detail: although my written English is ok, I'm primarily a French speaker. Any advice taking this into account will even be better.

Hey there.
I'm from Montreal and I actually tried the virtual meeting stuff. My advice: nothing beats the real thing. I mean doing approaches in real life. Although the whole chatting online and then meeting can be tempting and facilitate the whole issue.

What I used was:

-Going to ICQ White Pages and looking for females who live in the cityand just looking at their info and basic stats and trying to open a convo. Unfortunately, the majority of the girlsdoes not respond while thinking ur a stranger/perv/have no life...

- Browsing through Lavalife and seeing how things really are

-Joining local message boards. (such as memf (ez board)) Ppl are really friendly there and girls too. They are very open and u can meet up with them and go raving and clubbing together and make some new friends...

-IRC chatrooms, specifically #montreal on undernet. (good for u cuz its mostly french speakers there.

The deal is that I'm really far now from being a DJ. I'm still a RAFC and don't have good skills with chicks. So there's no use, u know..

I hope that later this year things will be better cuz I'm slowly getting there.

Thats cool, Montreal DJs are rising up.
Its definitely a good idea doing something together since we have a common goal. I think we should all meet up. We shouldn't really mind the fact that some of us are RAFC, AFC or DJ.
It would be cool to help each other.

I saw the real DJ Tiesto perform in the Netherlands on New Year's. Although I have to say that the chicks had me a little too occupied to pay attention to the music.

- boom boom places(cathedrale,living,loft...these kind of club)

oh shyte montreal people...i dont know about st. sulpice, the one time i went there, they have this little dancing thing downstairs and it was like 80% guys and some hippy chicks...my french is kinda crap too, i was macking on this chick in the club in french and then i just couldnt remember what one word was, i kinda looked stupid, cause i stopped like in midsentence and looked puzzled, not a way to get chicks...well if anything what clubs do u think are the best for macking on chicks in montreal...best ratios, best girls...how about other places
