^^ Hey thanks for the concern.
She is fine, asleep on the couch now. Turns out it really was just muscle bruising, nothing serious. They gave her some vicodin AND some valium, so she is feeling pretty decent.
I wanted to share with some of you something that has been in the news. This helped me to get her to go.
Did you know that alot of hospitals are non-profit? All of them in my state are. This is something they don't advertise, or even really make known at all. They get millions in tax breaks or perks or whatever, and it has been in the paper lately because the gvt is starting to come down on hospitals who are getting all of these non profit perks, but not really helping the needy.
Like if you come in and they know you don't have insurance and can't afford help, they are more likely to charge even more, instead of telling you all you have to do is ask for forms to participate in the charity care program.
I wasn't sure if this would really work, but I told my mom to make sure she asked for charity care forms at the check in area, and lo and behold, it works. She may not pay a dime, and all her previous hospital debt may be waived. She is now finally willing to get preventive care, something she never would have done before.
She is in a great mood.
I hope that info can help some of you too. If you google it, you will get some info on the issue, but no real advice on how to utilize it. It is simple, just remember they call it "charity care" and all you have to do is ask for forms to see if you will qualify.
Out.
