I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but my point is that people come here with specific objectives in mind, and they are usually highly impressionable as to how to achieve them. To have a mod who is married is not the kind of influence they need given those objectives. In fact, it is quite actually the polar opposite of the influence they need.
So you loose your DJism if you get married just like Fonzie when he wanted to get married? That's messed up (that and I'm showing my age...).

You instigated it and now, just like a typical female, you deny any responsibilty and cry to the mods. I'll admit some of the posters are a little harsh, but really it's impossible to reason with you so you can't blame them.
Excuse me, but when I post my opinion (just like everyone else does) it doesn't give ANYONE the right to make personal attacks, like you just did in yet another one of your posts. Flamebaiting is a CHOICE that others make. I don't cause anyone to make personal attacks. They choose to do it all on their own.

But the greatest embarassment this board has ever suffered is the inclusion of a MARRIED COUPLE within it's ranks. Nothing could be more indicative of the pussification of this community, and it is disgusting. And to further throw acid on the wound, we take the husband and we make him a mod on the mature man forum!?! Can anything be more of a travesty against what we are trying to achieve here?

When I go to the main page, I see a tag-line that reads "The secrets of meeting, dating, and attracting women."

When you're married you're not exactly meeting nor dating ANY women ANY more. Especially not if "the boss" is lurking on the same forum. THIS IS NOT A FLAME. Every man is free to do whatever the hell he wants with his life... and I'm not here to judge. I just don't see how it's appropriate for this board, if the point of this board is indeed to meet, date, and attract women.

It's time to hang it up at that point and let someone who is actually in the dating trenches help their fellow 'DJ's.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

not everyone is looking to be a gigalo
some people want long term relationships
and they are mature enough to be in them and be happy in them

your opinion on our relationship doesnt matter to either of us

gio is doing his moderater job in the same manner he did before we got together
if you have a complaint with a moderator , i suggest you send an email to allen.

my views on relationships havent really changed either and i do not believe im violation of breaking any rules.

Being a moderator has nothing whatsoever to do with what a person does in their personal life. Being a good moderator only requires fairness, the willingness to invest some time in doing the work and being smart enough to implement the forum control panel.

Although I have had plenty of go-arounds with Gio regarding his moderating style, the fact that he and pen are getting married has NOTHING to do with how suitable he is or isn't as a moderator. Besides, there are so many guys on this site who do nothing but post crap and flame people that they are NOT moderator material. Perhaps part of the reason there aren't any new moderators is because there's not a whole hell of a lot of the posters on here who are mature enough to handle the job.

When you get advice about weight loss, do you only ask people who are CURRENTLY dieting, and not people who have already lost weight?

When you want to learn how to make a million dollars, do you only ask people who are TRYING to make a million, and ignore the people who have already made a million?

Like it or not, for some on this board, meeting a woman they are willing to spend the rest of their lives with is the ultimate goal. I've achieved that goal.

Moderating has NOTHING to do with the subject matter or a forum. Moderators are usually too busy to do much posting. It would actually be better for Gio to be a moderator just for that reason...he's got less to say about dating and looking for women now that he's found what he wants. Having him moderate would not take away from his posting.

You don't lose it. But at the point where you want to get married (or actually get married) your perception becomes skewed as it pertains to meeting, dating, and attracting women. So it's not unreasonable to assume that you could be giving advice which is counter-productive to meeting, dating, and attracting women. I was in an LTR a few years ago and I stayed far away from this place for that very reason.

Not true.

That person should step down from a moderator position and give it to someone who is not as busy.
