I differ with my esteemed colleagues regarding whether married/LTR guys can be mods here. I think they can. Unique and valuable insight, etc. BUT, and this is a big but, this forum is only as useful as the honesty and sincerity of the participants. I think that sincerity becomes compromised once you have moderators here who are being policed and monitored by their wives. This is a problem, is the road to AFCness, and will bring this forum down into the AFC mire.

I'm glad you can at least have a sense of humor about it, even if it means turning the whole forum into a joke.

Fact remains that Stevera004 is absolutely right, and for that very reason makes your "weight loss" and "millionaire" analogies completely inapt.

Periodically I come back and check on the forum. Normally I don't post anything, but this still MY forum. I built this forum, thus, I'm compelled to protect it.

First of all, MARRIED GUYS ARE MEN TOO.

Second, since I've retired from modding, Gio and the others have done a fine job of modding the Mature Man. It is NOT a simple job, especially when you have bored posters flamebaiting you all the time.

The fact that Gio's wife is also an active poster has no bearing on his effectiveness as a moderator. If anything, I believe his marital status helps his online cred (if thats worth anything). It proves that he his capable of attracting and keeping a woman.

Penkitten's been here for years and has been a model poster. I don't see what the damn problem is.

Don't bash Gio and Pen because their dating goals aren't the same as yours. If you want your mods to be carousers, (I don't understand why you'd care), then there are other mods here who'd qualify.

Bingo, couldnt have said it better myself. Thats not to say having a married mod is "bad" in anyway its more a case of him obviously being neutral and non helpful when it comes to making decisions and judgements.

Just seems strange that this of all places would have a moderator that subcribes to the idea of such a joke that is modern marriage to me.

Who are the mods that realise Western marriage for a man is a joke? who are the mods that do actually fvck random b1tches on a regular basis? I want to see them here.

Avon...that's pretty much what some of these guys want.

I was frustrated with getting email from a guy 15 years older than I am, more than I normally would have been since my only car broke down and I have been stuck at home. Some of the guys on here went into hysterics because I happen to not be attracted to older men. They started attacking me personally for just not wanting to date a guy I'm not attracted to.

So, when I noticed that one of the guys who were attacking me had posted that a much younger woman had shot him down due to his age I made an on topic post about my thoughts on men in their 30's pursuing 18 and 19 year old girls. They were already attacking me for refusing to date much older men that I'm not even attracted to, and it just got worse there. Hell, some of them even stooped so low as to call my 5 year old names. "Mature Men", indeed....NOT.

So, although it is actually these guys who keep repeatedly breaking the forum rules by mentioning me in virtually all of their posts in an insulting manner (flamebaiting), saying cruel things about my young child, and starting all these "Wyldfire" threads...they STILL think I am the one who should be banned.

You never see anything of substance from these guys. At least I TRY to make a serious contribution. They make every damn post an opportunity to moan and groan about feminism...and blame feminism for all that is wrong with their life. Classic victim mentality to the hilt. I'm no fan of feminism...but this is a dating forum, NOT a masculinist forum. If all these guys are interested in is complaining about feminism then they should go to a forum that is just for that.

While we are on the topic of mods and unchecked posts,check out Rollo Tamassi's posts, now this guy really knows his sh!t. Theres a guy whos wisdom + age should be BEGGED by the powers that be to moderate and clean up this place.

In general, I'm annoyed that all these chicks keep posting on the forum. It's a forum for "Mature Men" and not for men and women. I don't know why mods don't police this better. I don't go posting on women forums. I'm not devaluing their contributions or saying that they can't contribute towards discussions on the topic, but not on a forum for MATURE MEN. They should post in the general discussion forum.

With respect to the mods, I don't like the idea of targetting specific mods with critiques. My opinion is that ALL the mods that were once great posters here stop posting anything of value once they become mods. This must have something to do with putting on a different thinking cap when being a mod that you can no longer look at the topic and contribute anything of value.

With respect to Gio and Penkitten, I'll say that this is a forum
for Mature Men to discuss the topic and not for a couple to flirt.
