I am not doing it just because a moderator was involved. Hell, ALLEN could have been involved in a back and forth and it'd still get the same action.

I just wonder something Wyld...Why do you always insist on making posts like this? You could have just PM'ed me about the reply, which I would have told you the same thing I said earlier: I saw it but didn't delete it. That would have ended things I hope.
To answer your question...

I wasn't doing anything wrong in that thread. Why didn't you just PM both Gio and I and voice a concern about where you believed our discussion might be headed? You made a post that blamed me equally for behavior I wasn't even guilty of. In addition to that, you insulted me in that same post while giving a virtual pat on the back to the individual who WAS behaving badly. My response (which was very polite and fair) was deleted.

Why would I use PM when I was publicly chastised for something I didn't do and then insulted on top of that? It's a matter of pride and principle, Eternal. Anytime I am disrespected publicly by a moderator, and especially unjustly so, there will be a public response from me. That's my nature.

It was also a general warning to people to not get involved between you two. Therefore, how do you see a "public humiliation?" I can understand you taking that joke I said to Gio the wrong way. Lighten up. I never gave Gio a pat on the back in that thread. I told him I'd delete his posts too, which I intend on doing. Because we are both moderators, that doesn't mean we give each other leeway.

Like I said, it was a general warning, which is NOT PM worthy. Please don't start that whole "pride" stuff on here. It is an internet board. Your public nature will get you banned if you keep it up. That is not a quote from me either.

Oh my god.

Wyldfire.

I mean no disrespect, but...

Why don't you show some of that 'restraint' you keep talking about and NOT start a 43rd thread b*tching about something... anything... everything...

Your numerous threads lately have gone beyond you making a point. They've completely passed 'the principle' and gone to the point of psychotic obsession.

Let it go.

There are plenty of things about this site and the members on it that piss the hell out of me... but I keep it to myself because you know what? IT'S THE F*CKING INTERNET.

Gio -............. Leave it be before she claims shes pregnant with your kid and is yelling that your sperm traveled from Detroit to her uterus.

This is like me telling some other female poster not to keep arguing with you because you'd probably slip a roofie in her drink and then claim she said yes to sex.

It's an inappropriate insult that should NOT only not be encouraged to be made but especially should NOT be made by a moderator, who is supposed to set an example for other posters. It also is even more out of line because it was said in a post chastising others for "flaming".

Can you at least recognize what is wrong with that?

Yes, I see something wrong with that...YOU ARE COMPARING A JOKE I MADE TO RAPE!

Look, I've had restraint to give you a piece of my mind, but you are pushing the limit with this comparing of stuff I say to whacked out and inappropriate comments. Say 1 more stupid thing, I swear to god...

I don't particularly care what your opinion is or what you think. I don't ask myself "Gee, what will that chick that named herself after a Barbie doll think if I post this?"

For someone who claims to not like to complain about things you don't like, you've done an awful lot of complaining about the fact that I complain about what I don't like.

My comment was a "joke" too. I wasn't offended by my joke, but you were. You weren't offended by your joke, but I was. "Jokes" and insults are perceived a bit differently when you're on the receiving end. That was the point I was trying to make in using that comparison. I was JUST as offended by your joke as you were by mine.

Hmm...So I guess joking around about rape is now ok? Let me ask the other females this question...

Were you offended by what I said to Wyldfire?

Now this...

Were you offended by what Wyld said?

How bout that, a mod admitting he did nothing wrong and places all the blame on the poster.

I never thought something like that would ever happen.
fixed that for you.

i personally wasnt offended by either of you... i knew that you were both joking trying to prove your own points.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I wasn't particularly offended by EITHER joke, but maybe I just don't offend that easily. But if I had to choose which joke was MORE offensive... I guess the rape joke was in poorer taste than the pregnancy joke only because being raped is so much worse than being impregnated.

(And having been both raped and impregnated in my lifetime - of course by different people!! - I think I'm qualified to comment).

But this is all irrelevant because Wyldfire has made it clear that she doesn't care what my opinion is or what I think.

But FYI Wyld: I never said I don't like to complain about things I don't like. In fact, I quite enjoy complaining about things I don't like. I just also know when to stop complaining before I start ripping my hair out.

I'm not actually COMPLAINING about you though. It's more of what I'd like to call 'social commentary'. ;) I'm not annoyed by the fact that you want to complain over something you don't like. I'm just annoyed by the sheer volume of it. No correction, I'm not even actually annoyed. I actually find it rather comical and it's entertaining also, because it gives Gio, Eternal, Vincent, et. al. all the more opportunity to crack jokes that make me laugh.

So I take back what I said earlier. Keep it up Wyldfire!! This is pure entertainment.

Oh and PS: I didn't name myself after a Barbie doll, but I think it's absolutely hysterical that you'd guess that! LMAO!

I thought Eternal's joke was kinda funny. Not so if you took it personally, but funny.

The rape thing, however, was outta line. I really don't thinkg people should f*ck around about that.

Mehs, this is pointless though, as ususal. Another "I'm right, you're wrong and there's nothing you can do about it" post that'll probably go on and on for pages.

i guess if i had to pick the worst joking comment between the two mine would be the rape thing, because it was not half as funny as the pregnancy one.

****** grabs popcorn and beer and dims the lights for the rest of the show*****

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

You gotta talk to Gio about that one...My "rates" aren't universal. ;)

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.
