Moderator Qualifications

I assure you this has nothing to do with the current mood of the forum re: mods, but I am curious what qualifications one needs to become a moderator on this board. Do you have to submit an application essay, is it based on post quality, post count, or something else?

Allen posts asking for moderators. You email him why you think you should be a moderator (along with how often you visit the site.) After that, there is a secret process of moderator things and then new moderators are chosen.

1) They don't work or go to school

2) They never go to sleep

3) They never turn off their computer

4) They don't have any real life friends

5) They have good typing skills

6) They enjoy posting more than the entire forum members combine.

Back when I first started coming here and they posted looking for moderators, I really wanted to apply... just to see what they'd say. LOL.

Maybe there SHOULD be one female mod, just to keep the other attention *****s in check.

Who was the female mod? (When I was thinking of applying I was going through a big 'procrastination' stage at work and was on here ALL THE TIME... I think I would have been a good mod ).
