I doubt 99% of the population could stomach watching this. I also doubt 99% of folks on this site, will bother to watch this either... Perhaps most, would be better off watching american idol, or playing, their favorite video game.

For me, this long video 90 minutes or so, is perhaps the biggest "red pill" video I've ever seen.

It's for the folks, with an iron stomach. I had to stop several times, to finish it myself.

Anyhow, this guy claims he's right 80% of the time. This is one month old, midway he talks about the oil spill in the gulf. One month later, now, what he said..nails it accurately.

Watch at your own discretion, and ignore the two gals in the beginning. Also, his advertising bit is annoying too.

Like I said, you two idiots are in the 99% who will stick their heads in the sand.

We are at peak oil. Accept it.

Our lives depend on oil. Accept it.

Trying to hide from things makes you a coward. That's it, in a nutshell...

Now, are you going to watch the video? If not, shut the **** up.

Your comment was a little ***** whine-fest. I don't know how to read that.

Now..

Did you actually watch this? What do you think about the oil spill and the louisiana ports, is that a concern?

I'll ask this question again...to shake out the trolls, and emotional raggedy ass pansies....

What do you think about the oil spill and the louisiana ports, is that a concern?

What do you think will happen when oil can not longer get into our country?

This may happen very soon.

People thought the world was going to collapse just two years or so ago because of the financial crisis. We lived.

Same with oil. We'll find a way to keep on living.

"Peak oil" is a great scam. What better way for big oil companies to jack up the selling price of oil than to create false supply shortage?

The big ones don't even get it out of the ground as fast as they could, they run at about 75% extraction capacity ... Why? To keep the price elevated.

Same racket that DeBeers is running in Africa with the diamond trade. There are warehouses full of cut and uncut diamonds just sitting there for the purpose of keeping it off the market to keep price up.

Same racket that JP Morgan is now facing a class action suit for, which is manipulating the precious metals market (namedly silver) for profit to themselves and their associates. They also rig the gold market. Every time the price of gold goes up, they dump another ton of gold into the world market (they have a gold reserve) to keep the price down.

This is the way the world works, funny how people deny this yet can't back it up with evidence and launch ad hominem attacks to discredit.

--

Don't believe the peak oil scare.

USA is sitting on one of the largest known coal pockets in the world, in southern Utah. Shortly after it was found, your president at the time, Clinton, imposed a moritorium on mining there. It's one of the three know places in the world to find clean coal (low ratio of carbon to sulpher). Clean coal produces much less sulpher dioxide (smog) by an order of magnitude. If you're really so concerned about energy shortage, open up the Utah coal fields for mining and you'll be buried in coal for the next 5000 years.

I'm not advocating that we use resources wildly. I'm as environmentalist as the next guy, but we'll have developed stable fusion reactors with H3 from the moon long before we run out of useable hydrocarbons.

Saying that makes it a lot easier to continue nothing and go back to watching sports and consuming. Doesn't it.

Humans haven't been around very long in the scheme of things and we are definitely reaching some critical times. Peak oil, the computer singularity, global warming and the global possession of nuclear bombs. You have nothing to base that statement on. 99% of species become extinct. Humans aren't so special.

We're not out of it yet. From research I've done, whatever recovery we might have had is over and the economy is going to slide down again from here. The only tangible thing that's been propping up the economy for the past 18 months is the stimulus packages and bailouts. What happens when that money dries up? With real unemployment in your country sitting at over 20% and the public debt at $13 trillion dollars (set to triple by 2020), you will be in the same financial position as Greece in 7-10 years.

Know what the difference is?

The IMF "bailed out" Greece, of which USA--being a majority stakeholder in the IMF--paid the lions share of the bailout.

Who will bail out America in 7-10 years when you will be in the same position as Greece is today?

edit: comments on film:

He's spot on with his financial numbers and information.

Quik, thanks for contributing to the thread, and I agree with the financial numbers too.

Regarding peak oil, we've been hearing this for years now, and yes there's good arguments on both sides. I hadn't heard about utah though..

The thing that got me was this guy's thoughts on the impact of the oil spill in the gulf. I really believe it's being swept under the rug, the impact of this disaster. Hopefully we're all wrong, but if the oil tankers can't offload in the gulf anymore...he's probably right. Oil will shoot up to $200 a barrel overnight whether or not we are sitting on all the reserves we need locally.

It will just be the big oil companies using anything to bend us over.

The current price of oil futures, for delivery on Jan, 2012 is about 95 dollars a barrel.

Meaning if you buy a contract now, in Jan of 2012 you can buy a barrel of oil for 95 dollars, regardless of the price at the time.

If you really believe that something big is going to go down regarding oil within the next year or so, you can make yourself quite a bit of money.

edit: you can also make quite a bit of money by shorting, if you think the price is going to go the other way. e.g. if you sell the above contract, come delivery date somebody has to buy it from you at that price.

some of his oil statistics were incorrect; OPEC, not just SA constitute 30% of the world oil production. This guy has some of his facts right though, but jumps to pretty gnarly conclusions. He also doesn't reference where he gets most of his numbers, but he probably doesn't trust those references to begin with.

oil is the reason where we are today, that much I can see eye to eye on. People might argue peak, but they did the same thing with natural gas; a product that we continue to discover more of as our technology gets better and we explore for more. I'll dig up the reserves in the U.S alone, but its significant. Are we past peak? yes, but we also have not discovered all that is out there, and have plenty of reserves...our way of life won't change much anytime soon.

I don't buy the doom and gloom, but do expect to see 2008 gas prices again. We aren't out of the woods yet. Stock market is overpriced and due for a correction as well.

Any limited resource is bound to hit peak and cease to exist if exploited constantly. What is really wrong is to assume conspiracy theories everywhere. However, I'm sure things will turn out for the best after a gradual shift towards another energy source. So, again, are you an Alex Jones fanl?

Peak oil?

Did a 20 page report on it 5 years ago.

It will never happen. New things and technology will be invented to harvest it. There is plenty of oil in the ocean floor still yet to get

and we are moving away from oil within 20-30 years.

Everyone exhale and live your lives today.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.
