The jist of the situation: I just moved to Jacksonville Florida and don't know that many people. I will start my sophomore year of college on Sept. 2nd. I was at the college today registering for classes and struck up a good conversation with a cute brunette. She mentioned that she knew some college kids in my apartment complex that she parties with sometimes. She got called to fill out her schedule and I continued waiting. I was confident that I could get her number when she returned and just as I thought, I did. However, when she gave it to me, she said "there's a problem...." . I knew it was coming, a boyfriend! She said "I'll give it to you anyway since you're new here." So, she gave me the number despite having a boyfriend. Now, we all know that most girls don't dump a guy until they've got another one that they want to sink their teeth into.... So, I can either try to pursue this chick with romantic interest or just be friends with her and then meet more people through her. Like I said earlier, from her demeanor during our conversation, I think she was somewhat into me. If she wasn't exibiting those signals, then I wouldn't have asked for the number. How should I handle this situation? Help me, DJ's!
