This combination is a topic that is going through my mind every now and then. I have been talking to my friends about it. And there seems to be a humorous consensus.

The current online dating world is developing exponentially and there is no visible end to it. The usual suspects, meaning Tinder, Bumble etc., favor women for logical reasons. Despite increasingly hefty pricing models, men seem to be addicted to dating apps more than ever. This leads to my first point: Men getting lazy. The algorithms of those dating apps are built in a way that keeps men entertained, whether they match and meet women or not. Boosts, Super Likes and other packages that push you forward in the queue, so you can bee seen for about 20-30 minutes give you a quick rush. You're saying to yourself: "Yes, this time I'll catch 'em all!"

It doesn't matter whether the average man actually achieves successful dates, that result from the app. He feels quite good by matching those attractive women from all over the world with the GPS function that many apps offer now. Combined with the rising perceived importance of the so called "Instagram clout", they hunt for visibility, acceptance and validation. What does that have to do with men getting lazy? Evolution is only possible when we experience hardship and therefore have to adapt to those circumstances, so we can deal better with that environment in the future. But where is this hardship to be found now? Men won't move forward when everything is cozy. And to be honest, they don't want to.

This is where VR-Online Dating comes into play. What if the big players and technology take it to the next level and offer VR-Online Dating, where you can literally meet and have sex with women straight from your couch or bed (while being alone)? You don't even have to get up. If we step it up a notch, we would be talking about AI that can be used in order to satisfy the universal needs of men all over the world. My guess is that many men will use lifelike robots to avoid the hardship and struggle of going outside and meeting real people. As comical as this sounds currently, it will be a realistic issue. Maybe not in 5 years, maybe not in 10. But when it happens and reaches mainstream, I would bet that social conventions and cultural habits will suffer big time.

I have written this post to ignite a discussion with you guys. What do you think? Will society, courtship and eventually evolution suffer because of this?

Men are not getting lazy, they finally understood the concept of rate of return and rate of investment.

Investing 2 to get 1 is still better than invest 8 to get 3.

By investing I mean time, effort, work, money and mental health.

The gamification of apps and things like that are attracting all the incels that play video games all the time and makes it that much more easier for them to engage in these apps since it's like playing a video game(entertainment factor). Not just them but look at GenZ gals that regularly play video games too.

As for VR, I think Steven Spielberg's movie Ready Player One is a preview of what's to come.

But Qualcomm has just produced a chip and got some sort of standardization with a few dev companies on a standard for the new XR technology(VR + AR) coming up. I think this is going to be a game changer in many ways and you will see everyone adopt this technology for everything.

Imagine walking into your home and putting these glasses on and seeing different furniture, wall paper, windows, etc., along with 5 women that greet you in your living room and all wanting to have a conversation or other things with you?

VR world in a SIM type environment has gotten popular already in some places like Korea that you have people actually commiting suicide in real life because their online gf broke up with them. LOL

I do think society is further going to be degraded with XR coming up. Another good movie is The Surrogates which also reveals the degradation of society using technology to replace real human interaction.

Yeah that will be definitely a whole new level. Especially with quantum chips.

I don't know how many women are going to be interested in using some VR thing. In my experience women want sex because they want to feel a man's *** inside them and VR is not going to give them anything like that. Sex chat sites are overwhelmingly full of men and men pretending to be women. They're just a waste of time.

Women will be forced to either change their game to get access to d!ck or adopt what you're talking about.

I agree, in that women want emotional and physical connections regardless of the technological disruptions. But think of a scenario where a woman can create an avatar of herself and upscale it without actually having to participate. This would logically be monetized. I think a certain portion of the female population would join in on the VR sex train. This would lead to a reduction of the current sellers's market (women with high SMV).

And beyond that, you would have to assume that a lot of women would enjoy that technology, as long as it's sophisticated and realistic enough. Imagine tweaking that sh*t according to your own tastes: jerk mode with unlimited stamina activated.

This has technically already been done. There is something called Projekt Melody, it's a woman who is a voice actress that uses a motion capture suit to animate a Hentai style performance on Chaturbate, and men flocked to it because they'd rather watch that than a real woman. Technically, she is real because she can do what you ask her (pay her) to. She's so popular that other performers on the website complained about her stealing their share of the simping bucks.

But, the more men and women get sucked into that, the more there is for those who don't want anything to do with it, which is going to filter out the lower value men and women as they go into that and get lost in some pointless fantasy.

This is the direction first world countries are moving in. Japan is somewhat advanced in that respect, look at what's happening there and you will know what's coming to the western culture. It's a huge advantage to old school guys though, women need real closeness more than men apparently.

Personally I couldn't imagine going on a VR date, I need the woman in direct contact, anything less is unsatisfying.

I think this tech and other changes that are coming at us in the future will transform the SMP in some crazy ways. Women need the real thing and real world interactions more than men , so this will put more power in the hands of men and women will adapt as men have been adapting to the reality of the current SMP. Prostitution will become legal not because men will demand it but because women will demand it. Their is a brave new world coming at us fast , I think that this is one of the most fascinating times to be living in.

This scenario seems very probable. "The reality of the current SMP" - that shows you how much of an economic this whole back and forth is.

What do u mean become legal? Do you realise there is a world outside of america and prostitution is already legal in most of the world?

It's legal here in Australia and it makes zero difference to the SMP.

Yeah, in Toronto you've had an incel van attack, and a sex worker murdered from a 17 y/o guy who claimed to be incel, so in Toronto, Canada prostitution is wide-spread (laws not enforced on it) and there is no difference to SMP or that this is the incel capital of the world.

We have legal brothels here in Australia, most women charge $300 an hour. It's actually cheaper to fly to Thailand and back for two weeks and bang as many girls as you can.

@Georgepithyou I mean legal in countries where it is illegal. There are other things coming that will also cause changes. By the way from what I have read there are a lot more men than women in Australia so prices are probably inflated in your country. If you do some research you will see that in most countries 300 dollars will get you the very best of the best escorts, the prices for the other women is much lower.

Like how much cheaper... I'm asking for research purposes
From where I live you'd pay about 500-600 bucks for a round trip to SEA. Australia is a different animal of course, because they're next-door neighbors.

Austalia is a white first world country with all the amenities and not that much crime or issues a third world country would have. If you get sick you can trust your own hospital. Too much risk to save a dollar.
