so you are implying that guys who have no money, No success.. there are women willing to date/marry them? Seems contrary to conventional wisdom: most women only want to marry guys with $$$$ and resources.
Useless bums get married. Don't underestimate the desire of women to get hitched.

If that would not be the case then the vast majority of guys will not get married, and getting married would be a thing for the rich only

But from what I see most guys are married, only the really weird are not ( in most cases )

Go read some of the realities of divorce for men if you don't think it could happen to you:
https://forum.mensdivorce.com/

Look at some of the bs they go through on a daily basis before, during and after the divorce. Choose wisely. I'm not saying marriage isn't right for some dudes but be damn sure you know what you're getting yourself into if things go south. Most guys never research the consequeneces of a failed marriage in advance and the hivemind works 24/7 to keep your average dude blind to the possibilities.

Most of the guys who think is a financial risk to get married have actually no money to put a risk

This is one of the biggest bullsh1t reasons out there :)

Also if you guys would have checked better the law, if the woman was in a long domestic partnership with you in the eyes of the judge she is like she was married with you. Especially if you have children together

Even if she signs a pre nuptial contract before marriage, if she stays long enough in the marriage ( can be as low as 3-4 years ) that contract will not hold any value in court
With all due respect. You last statement is simply incorrect.

Women don't want husbands, they want permanent boyfriends.

They want to earn your attention. When this woman was your girlfriend or LTR, she had a burden of performance where the only thing keeping you from leaving was her ability to maintain your attention. Once you get married the state has now given this woman the ability to permanently diminish your income - you become far less willing to leave. Meaning that the moment you get married, you lose a point or two of SMV in the eyes of the woman who is now your wife. Congradulations on the nuptuals!

Even when married, playing the whole "whose more willing to leave" game of chicken is tiresome, but it is the only way to ensure your wife still finds you attractive. She will nag you to no end to stop hanging out with the boys, to give up your hobbies, and to give her ALL of your attention... but what she doesn't know, is the more attention you give her - the less valuable it becomes.

So as men, married in particular, we have not only the burden of performance when it comes to financial stability and being emotionally stable, but also to keep our SMV on the Financial/Looks/Behavior axis - disproportionately higher than if we were to have stayed a boyfriend.

At least, for some of us, we get to pass down our name. Some poor beta husbands are saddled to a woman who hasn't put out in over a year... the irony being, that it is still his fault even when SHE has the final say in consent.

So yeah, marriage sucks if you don't know what you're doing - and most of us don't. Only recently did I start knowing what to do, and I still mess up on occasion, like a constant game of chess.
Your wife is not on your side.
...so why do we do it?

All for a woman with diminishing value. Why do we do it. Those women aren't so dumb after all. The ultimate chess masters. The naturals at game. Play the game like they do and you will have better results. Be ruthless if you need to. @Gamisch
