Lately I've paid closer attention to commercials on tv (although I barely watch tv) and what I've noticed is that the guys are always the butt-end of the joke. The women can get away with anything because they are portrayed as being mature and the guys are always portrayed as bumbling idiots.
For example, this camcorder commercial, showed this guy trying to fix his camcorder cuz he didn't know how to work it. The girl then gets seduced by some metrosexual and she walks off with him behind his back. And this was supposed to be funny. Think about what would happen if the roles were reversed.
Another commercial I just saw had this guy who didn't know how to drive and then the girl takes command and literally slaps him when he tries to touch something in the car. Would this be funny if the rolse were reversed?
I've also noticed email forwards I get at work, where similar things go on. It happens so often that I think people don't even notice it anymore. Have you seen any instances of this?

Violence against men perpetrated by women has always been thought of as funny. I just saw a news show where they were discussing the recent rash of women killing their husbands. The female interviewer actually was making jokes and laughing. Can you imagine the roles reversed on that???????

Sure man, I noticed that romantic comedies always have the same pattern: boy meets girl, they like each other, but there are some barriers so they can't be together right away, then BOY SCREWES UP something, and then he has to apologize like crazy and go through great lenghts to prove that he's worthy (blah)... in the end they're together because he totally suffocated. This is where AFCs get stupid ideas... But the point is it's ALWAYS the guy who messes up, never the girl. She's the mature one and he's an idiot. Yeah, sure...

From my personal experience: There was one chick from my part of town who disrespected me with a mocking comment. At that point I immediately detached and stop talking to her, I don't even say hi when we meet on the street. It's so funny, first she was saying hello like crazy, then she gave up, because I never replied, then she was always looking at me to see if I'll look at her (I never do, or I look at her briefly and then turn my head away in disgust), then one time she decided to try something else so she so obviously ignored me that I know it was a fake IOD...

She tried to make me start chasing her and apologize for ignoring her WHICH WAS HER FAULT IN THE FIRST PLACE. It cracks me up... I was really curious if she'll ever be able to do the most obvious thing; accept the responsibility for her actions and just apologize. But no, she'll never do that... To open her mouth for mockery is not a problem, she'll do that in a second, to open it for apology, no way.

Society teaches girls at very young age that they're the prize. They are literally brainwashed. They believe they are the honey and we are the bees... This is why they think they can get away with anything.
