Was at a club on friday and I greeted this guy I've known for awhile.

Before any conversation ensued he rolled up his sleeve and showed me he's tattoos on his forearm, it was of some voodoo doll I think?

I told him it looks cool etc.. to be polite.

Then I told him at least he didn't get one of those "quote tattoos" like everyone else. He rolled up he's other sleeve and lo and behold there was some long writing I couldn't make out.

haha wtf

I love to clown on the guys that get tattoos they think are badass. Especially barbed wire. "I'm such a badass, I got a PICTURE of barbed wire put on me so everyone can know!"

With that being said, there are some cool tattoos out there. But they're few and very far in between.

And people wear nice clothes for attention. Who cares? Everyone gets tattoos for their own reasons. Do we need another tattoo hater thread? Whats that say about a dudes own self esteem when he wastes time tearing down other men.

Leave this sort of behavior to women. Be above that crap.

Stop sipping the haterade and keep it moving.

Best tattoo I ever saw (IMO, of course) was that bee from Mickey's Big Mouth.

Then there's this:

According to the young lady these characters says "sajo", which she believes translates as boss, when in fact I am reliably informed that it reads 'Omori Shin', which is a man's name, I assume the one who convinced her to get the tattoo. It was chosen and paid for by a Japanese fellow who is a Patpong regular. He has taken many girls to the tattoo studio in Patpong soi 2 between The Strip and Club Electric Blue to get the very same tattoo. When I asked if she had any regrets about it, she looked at me like I was asking a daft question. Why would she regret it?!
Some Japanese guy goes to Thailand, bangs some bar girls, then takes them to a tattoo parlor to get HIS NAME tattooed on their back

I've always thought tattoos only looked good on military guys, athletes, gang-bangers and criminals. But if you want to be anything else, they just look stupid. They signify 'outlaw' I guess. It's just a lifestyle I suppose, just like long hair, earrings, etc.

Now, just like anything else, if you're trying to be something you're not, then you'll look stupid and phony. That's got nothing to do with tattoos.

I'd never get one, basically because I've chosen to stay out of trouble in my life. Getting a tattoo for some 'memoir' or something just sounds gay, unless like I said above, it's a military symbol. Maybe if you beat a hard addiction, you get something subtle to remind you of it, I don't know. But even still, if you beat an addiction, it means you were addicted in the first place, which is sort of a testament to your previous stupidity. I guess I'd just rather forget that than be reminded of it everyday.

But one thing pretty much rings true, no matter how you slice it. Once somebody sees a tattoo on you, you WILL be judged as 'lower class'. That's just how it goes, unless you are George Clooney in From Dusk til Dawn, in which case you're a criminal so it doesn't matter.

What's up with guys who get tattoos completely covering their entire arms and forearms? You can't even see the skin on their arms through the tattoos. I am seeing this more and more these days.

I saw another guy with a tattoo on the front of his neck. I guess they won't ever need to have a job interview?

Looks alot better than a mole. I know a BPD that had an absolute ton of tattoos and she just kept getting more. During sex, I'd ask her to put her clothes back on, they really detracted from the experience... a bunch of song notes and stars and ****... was really stupid. Pretty girl who marked up her body.

Might be handy to tattoo your passport number or bank card numbers somewhere on your body, other than that, i don't see any use for them, except to mark your followers like in Blade. :)

That's when you should proceed to roll up your sleeve and show him your arm with a band of real barbed wire wrapped around your bloody arm haha

Lol its like a brood of hens gossiping in here. I've never seen so much concern for what other men wear than what I generally see on this forum. Talk about needlessly trying to tear down another man. Like I said, it's best to leave that catty crap to the females.

One would think that with the massive trend in tattoos it would become acceptable in the workplace.

This coming from the mangina who uses words such as: homophobic, rayciss, commitmentphobe, Ummm, OMG in every 2nd post. Who's every post greater than a hundred words literally comes out as "written by a female" when run through gender genie at an overwhelming percentage. Get the phuck outta here you mewling weirdo. It's a little late for you to pretend to "butch up" all of a sudden.

I think every single one of my friends has at least one tattoo. Some of them are alright, some of them not haha. @Malice, the ones covering up their whole arm, that's called a sleeve, and it's popular because some guys tell their life stories on their arm. I've been through a lot in my life, including the Military, where again, my buddies got tatted up, but I couldn't decide on anything so I passed. Didn't want to regret it later.

The funny thing is though, now, many years later, I actually regret not getting one. Wish I would have gotten something so I could at least have a story to tell. I think I'm the first person in history to regret not getting a tattoo.

You regret it because your falling for the monkey see, monkey do syndrome like the good majority of everyone else who gets tats.
No, I'm not. That's the whole point. Tattoos were all the big rage a while back and "everyone" was doing it. And I resisted. Now the tattoo thing is starting to fall off, and believe me, I know a few people that have regrets. So I should be a happy camper, and tell everyone else I told you so. But, now that's I'm older and the tattoo deal has reached it's peak and is falling, I now wish that I would have gotten one, just to have the memory or the story.

Personally I find tats are for sheeps, people who don't have an mind of their own and basically want to fit in with everyone else in this attention whoring age.
That's the thing, guys were getting tribal this and that, or suns and moons and $hit. I saw everyone was doing it, and I saw the future, and I didn't think that I'd want it 15 years from then. But now that it is 15 years from then, I do wish I would have found one that I liked. (other than the ones mentioned above)

Looking back.... fvck it, you're only young once.

Nothing is stopping you, if you want to be like everyone else do you. If you think tat's are falling off, you should get out more. I see more and more pre teens getting tatted up these days. I've seen kids as young as 10 with tats no lie.

lol If you got to get a tat to tell a story or for a memory. It's not worth telling or remembering.
You missed the whole point. Completely.

Let your opinion drop for a second, if you can, and try to understand someone else's reasoning and thought process.

I'm going to drop a quote on you because you need it.
"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."
-Stephen Covey

I understand you are against tattoos. That's obvious. Did you understand that I don't have any tattoos, and I'm not getting any? You didn't pick up on that did you? Read again, try to comprehend this time.

Don't be so hard on yourself (if indeed you ARE being hard on yourself and these aren't just passing thoughts of actions not taken...)

It's an impossibility of comparing non-parallel time paths. Had you gotten a tat, you might have regretted it and wished you HADN'T got it.

But you didn't, and how you're regretting NOT getting it.

It's like a saying in the stock market whether your stock goes up or down, you're gonna have regrets.

If if goes up you'll think you were a puzzy and will regret not buying more.

If it goes down you'll think you're an idiot and regret buying it in the first place.

The manospam bot makes my point with this typically pathetic and catty reply. Its ok dolface xD  Don't be so upset and run by your emotions lol

It needed repeating to highlight the hypocrisy of some of you. Peaks is the only one showing some maturity and not just looking to hate on someone. This place is as bad as puahate.com sometimes lol
