Not sure if anyone has heard of Meetup.com. Has anyone ever tried those groups as an organic way of meeting people, making friends, and of course, meeting women?

I was a hiking Meetup event, and this one woman pointed out, "Have you noticed that most of the people that join these Meetups are single?"

Yes, I had noticed...at least in my area...you rarely see couples attend these events. If they do, it's some niche' activity...like hiking...but when it comes to those Fri or Saturday night social Meetup groups...it's almost ALL singles.

So you do have your pick of the ladies. I would say, after the last of my friends got married...Meetup was my only way of meeting new people.

I think its a good way of meeting new people, in a nice social environment, and to have some fun. My last plate also came from there

I like meetup.com better than regular dating sites. And I also noticed they cater to single people.

Yeah, some people poo-poo it as, "If you have to use a site like Meetup to meet new people, then there's something a bit off about a person who cannot meet people outside of that."

Usually these people wind up as someone's tag-along at an event, but never actually join the site.

You don't "have to" do anything. That's what makes meetup.com awesome. If you don't like someone you can just stop talking to them and it's not like some kinda choice was made. That stigma is for dating sites, not sites like meetup..

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
