Hey all I'm in a bit of a bind. I have come to the conclusion that the majority of my friends are anti-social nerds who are unreliable when it comes to much more then computer and video game talk. Additionally the few "cool" friends I have I've found to be unreliable and at times jerks. To make matters worse my Girlfriend seems to only have male friends all of which I know would be more then willing to service her if given the opportunity.

Aside from swinging where are some good places you'd suggest we go to meet new people or new couple to associate with. I'm 21 but she's only 19 so that makes bars out of the question. Are there any good reliable social settings where it's expected for strangers to socialize. The best we have been able to come up with is going to the many coffee shops or something like midnight bowling. There has to be some good places to meet young adults.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Find an actvitity you both like, i.e. camping, dancing, rock climbing...whateva...just find one and then search for clubs in your area that cater to those interests. Look on the net. There are groups of people who get together for all kinda of things.

Personally, my friends and I just started putting on a Halo tournament. Made a flyer for it and put it on the net. After a couple days we were contacted by this guy who lived about 20 minutes from us. We all met up and he had about 9 friends with him. We already had 8 people in our circle. In our original group there are 3 couples. In the new guys group there are two couples. A long time ago we started forcing our girls to play, haha. Now they enjoy it quite a bit. Especially when all 3 of them play only against each other. And we, the guys, enjoy watching it. hahah. And I'll tell ya, these girls are hot. So were the girls in the new guys group.

I've joked with the girls about videotaping their halo sessions and selling it on the net. Having the girls wear different, revealing outfits, each week. And much more but I can't give it all away! hahah. Anyway, the girls giggle about it but never say no, so who knows. You may be seeing it on the net sometime soon. hahah

Anyway, the original point is, start a club or join one. You'll find a lot of couples that way.

Girl gamers are awesome. It brings me happiness to hear my girlfriend ask me when we are going to bust some more skulls in Baldur's Gate again. I've introduced her to Halo and while she wasn't great she managed to get some cheap kills in because we generally ignored her. I've never managed to find many women intrested in much more then tetris and the sims. Once I managed to get a group of girls playing Dead or Alive, it was funny hearing them comment more on the outfits then beating eachother. Once my girlfriend said aloud that she wondered where one of the girls got her outfit. Lol it was funny.

Anyways I have a small group of Halo people but like i mentioned it tends to be computer nerds with no hope of finding women with the only exception being my girlfriend. How exactly did you post your flyer? I'm sure you posted it where you were sure to find people close to your age right?

That's funny cause our girls do the same with the Dead or Alive outfits. "Oh! Look at her outfit, it's so cute! I wonder if they sell that somewhere.". One of the girls even bought DOA Volleyball! haha. Just for the freaking cuteness of the bikini's. haha Whatever, as longs as it gets them to play it's all good.

The one who bought the game was actually pretty good in Tekken Tag Team. I would enter tournaments out here in the SF Bay Area and she would always come with me. We would play for hours or drive together to different areas just to play. She got pretty damn good and started beating the guys pretty easily. Should have seen the guys drool as soon she walked in. And then see their expressions when she played and kicked their ass to boot! hahah

Anywaaaaay, we put the flyer on Craigslist. We're think about putting it in local video game retail stores. We'll see about that though. It doesn't really matter the age for Halo players. All that matters is that the people are good because we plan to hold a tournament two months from now.

I'm sure you could look on Craigslist to find other groups of people looking to make new friends. Or like I said, find an activity you both like and then join a group that does it. Even if it's mainly a one sex activity like PC gaming. One of the guys there is bound to have a GF. If you guys get along then arrange a time to all go out together with your gf's. Or your GF can join a group, make friends with the girls who have bfs and bam, all hang out.

Another great couples gaming activity that women tend to enjoy is DDR aka Dance Dance Revolution. It's something anyone can do, and if you can get over feeling stupid it's alot of fun. I wish my girl didn't have bad knees otherwise we'd be busting it up at a tourney or something :)

I agree that video gaming is more of a guy thing and age really doesn't matter as much as maturity does. Perhaps I need to convince my girlfriend to start a girl gamer group :) It'd be nice surrounded by women playing video games for a change :p
