I think it's fantastic that so many people are exploring and experiencing the benefits of meditation, mindfulness and increased awareness.
I see more and more people recommending meditation to others here, than ever before. People have posted links of mediation practices that work for them. I have seen several posts recommending books by Ekhart Tolle. Someone posted videos by well known Game coaches recommending both meditation and again the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. The coaches in those videos share how their experience of themselves and their life changed so profoundly, that they recommend it to their clients now. I have seen people here talk about using meditation to recenter after breakups, to decrease anxiety, to help in successfully getting off drugs and alcohol, to being more centered and less affected by others. The potential benefit list seems to goes on and on and yet to some degree, be different for each person.
I am posting this as an invitation and request for those that have benefited from mediation or mindfulness practices, to share more about it, in this thread, so others at SS can benefit from your experience. May others become curious or be inspired to check it out and experience the benefits for themselves. Feel free to also cut and paste your previous posts on the topic and bring them here, as a kind of one stop resource, for those looking to learn more.
May this thread also be a place for SS to openly Q&A with one another about meditation, mindfulness and increasing awareness. (Please understand that while I am moved to originate the thread for the benefit of the community, I post this with curiosity to know more, not because I have the answers.)
Please share about meditation (your experience, your practice or anything that is related) in whatever way you are moved, so others can benefit and perhaps be inspired to check it out and experience the benefits for themselves.
