I started around last November and was sick most of the winter, but got some minor initial strength gains...not much though. I took measurements in March and haven't re-measured until now, November.
These results are by no means a thinly veiled brag, I really have only been going about 2x/week for 45 minutes each...including a 3 week vacation and the occasional week off here and there. Hell, I probably drank an average of 2x per week over the summer (5 drinks each time). But, my food has gotten a lot healthier and I've stayed consistent. Never took more than 7 days off in a row, other than a vacation when I was traveling. I've learned that the key is consistency, and even when you have those weeks where you don't feel like going...go at least once even if it's just for 20 minutes to keep the momentum going.

Waist down slightly (0.25 inches, so pretty much the same)
Chest up 1.5 inches.
Biceps and forearms up slightly
Glutes, thighs up significantly

So based on the info I can surmise I gained about 7 pounds of muscle and lost maybe 1 pound of fat. I know these results are far from mind blowing, but I've gone from 0 compliments about my physique my entire life to 3 this year. I've scored a goal way outside the box in soccer and I notice my shot is much improved. I feel way better about myself as I always used to be self conscious about being weak.
I have a long way to go but I just joined a 24/7 gym and I've been going 3x/week recently and I plan to gain another 7 pounds of muscle over the next 8 months. It gets harder to gain strength as time goes on, I know that, but I figure I was able to see good results by just casually going I should at least be able to maintain that rate by going an extra 1x/week.
So just wanted to share these mediocre, yet consistent results and I hope to continue this improvement into 2014!
