I'm 5'8" or so, could probably pass for 5'10" with thick shoes on. I'd say my height is "low average". I don't feel "short" by any means, but I know I am not tall either. I was just thinking back on women who have been attracted to me in the last 10 years. Almost all of them have been substantially shorter than me. The last girl I dated was about 5' tall. There is a girl who is into me right now who is even shorter than that. Now as I think about it, I've had very little success with women who were of equal height to me or even slightly shorter, and I've never had a girl who is taller than me. I'm wondering if this is by coincidence or evolutionary biology at work.

Well I think women prefer a man to be taller or at least equal to them in height. Men also prefer women to be shorter than them. Women would date men shorter than them if they had to but they don't ahve to. I have seen girl around 5'5-5'7 date guys even shorter than them. The thing is if your a man and over 5'7 then most women will be shorter than you. Being taller is a small advantage but it's just one aspect and won't make up for everything. I've seen plenty of guys around 5'7 attract more women than other men that were taller. Height isn't the advantage that a good looking face, or wealth or status is.

Theres been articles and news stories on tv about height and i always here how CEO's of companies average 6'2'' and the rest of the population of men averages 5'9''. Food for thought.

I'm 5' 8", though I might be pushing 5' 9" since I've started to workout and improve my posture. I'm really attracted to tall women, and high heels, but I could never imagine dating or approaching a women that has more than has an inch or two on me, especially if she's not in heels. I guess once I start sarging properly, I've packed more muscle and have some cash behind me then I won't have any qualms, but for now I'm looking for a easy time, and why make it harder by going for a woman that you are not confident around and may appear less attractive to.

So you're alright. I'm 6'0'' and I feel slightly taller than everage.

We're actually the same height but most of the girls I've dated in the past have been my height or slightly taller. Trust me height does matter to some women and those who are extremely superficial may write you off for it. But then again those that would consider something trivial like that aren't worth your time anyway.speakeasy said:
