maybe gossip is a good thing?

I've noticed that all the kids i know always have something to say about something or someone. I swear they are like girls, I tell one of them something, the next second the other one knows.
These kids also have fairly good social status. Do you think the key to socialising is to always have an opinion and spread gossip around like women do?

It's good to know what's going on around your school and the world etc, but you don't want to turn into a giggling whispering little girl. You shouldn't need to depend on other's situations to become popular.

True, but remember gossip is tool, not the entire means of gaining social status. Make a good-impression on a girl and their bound to tell their friends about it. Yes, you're right by the way. Using gossip + the concept that girls want what other girls want, you're whole being can be viewed differently. For example, what would happen if you had walked into a school function with a hb on your arms? wouldn't your friends notice and tell other people? That's a GOOD thing and use it to your advantage. Be machiavellian if you have to.

Do you want to talk to girls, well then learn to gossip. Gossip is the only kind of conversation women care for. That's all there is to it. If you try to talk to them about, cars, guitars, computers, politics, philosophy, religion, or anything but gossip they will run from you. If she even hears the word megabyte, she will run away or at least harpoon you through the head.

That being said, if you keep up on your local events, you will always have a topic. If you find you have no topic, get a number/date, and excuse yourself.

It's a fact of high school that people like to hear gossip. If you always got lots of gossip it makes sense that people would want to talk to you so they can get the newest gossip. The downside to being a gossiper is you won't get any trust from anyone, unless they are dumb. Best bet is probably find a happy medium and get out and about and talk to people about what's been going on around school and stuff, but stick with the light stuff that no one would care about, don't start stuff and run around telling people how so and so is cheating on his gf or something. Feel free to participate in the conversations but try to restrain from bringing it up unless it's something small

I think that talking about gossip is a negative trait for your personailty, but listening to gossip is good for the aspiring Don Juan. It lets you listen to the things you shouldn't do and when the girls talk they usually whisper so you can get in real close and kino a bit... But I go against spreading gossip

hey, well i'm a girl and i don't think an attractive quality in a guy is him spreading and listening to rumors... i doubt most girls think that's a sexy quality in a guy!!

Well I'm sure you never listen to gossip Cute Lil Blonde. Everyone has to, people need information. Sure Spreading it can be bad but I don't think that the rumor spreading is the deciding factor in whether or not you'll date her.

Anyways ,gossip and hating doesn't stop and EVERYBODY does it some people just don't realize it and don't even mean the things they say. But whatever you know when it comes to my gossipy freindsand family i've learned to keep them in the dark about girls and my sex life and money too. Just to avoid drama is all.
