Dating women at work is a great idea provided that you choose your job with that idea in mind.
It obviously isn't a good idea in a field with few women, no single women, no attractive women, only old people, full of hardcore feminists, etc.
It also isn't a good idea if it's a job that you can't realistically replace.
The only time that I wouldn't try to meet girls at work is if I had a job that gave me amazing pay/benefits and was fantastic for my career so I needed to play it safe until I could reliably get an equal or better job.
