Maxim Magazine advice on dating and age.

I am a 30 year old male. I once read in Maxim magazine a man should take his age, divide it in half, and then add 9 years. This is the youngest age (of a woman) a man is allowed to permit himself to date without being perceived as "gross" or a "dirty old man". I hope this is accurate, since many women 28+ are settled down by now.

Why don't you just wrap some duct tape around that plug that's still jacked into the matrix. You can never be too sure, you know. Don't want that thing slipping out now, do we? While you're at it, use some solder and hot glue too. If you're feeling funny, stick a band-aid on there and wrap that with bubble gum and a paper clip all "MacGyver style".

Once you get that connection good and firmed up, be sure to carry around a little emergency kit with you just in case you have a thought that even remotely contradicts what society/media/peers/family want you to believe. You certainly don't want to do anything that would offend anyone, especially just because you want to.

sheep mentality and fitting in is all i am seeing here.

women usually let magazines and the world dictate to them, men usually make the rules.

hence letting a magazine influence your choices in life is penning youself into restrictions, we are not talking about moral issues but stupid rules on what is right and what is wrong by some ones perspesctive that just happens to have a populer medium to put there perspective across.

At the end of the day its one persons idea of what they think it right, the sad fact is when sheep follow that ideal due to the 'gloss' associated with the publications when in fact the none sheep look at is as total BS or a bit of humour.

Try tell this to old men with alot of women, hugh heffner for example he will laugh in your face.

Lol Maxin Magazine? How can you trust advice like that from anyone apart from guys like us... Our ways are too confusing for the rest of the world to understand, and the only tips you are going to get is "be yourself" and there are heaps of others...

Of course we know better than the rest of them, so ignore anything like that... Damn it sounded like a page filler to me...

Sorry, I've been kind of out of the loop for the last week. I'm posting this from my laptop in Amsterdam as I've been doing video here.

I could go into detail about how dumb sh!t like this is simply one more social convention used to even the playing field for women in western culture, but you've already read my musings on that, and honestly, only in the U.S. is this patheitc crap entertaining to anyone. I had dinner with one of our owners last night - he's 50, his wife (first wife) is 36 - doesn't fit the "formula", but no one gives a sh!t. If you're 38 and you're hooking up with 23 y.o. women that's wrong, but you're 50 and dating a 35 y.o. woman? No one has a problem with that.

You see, a 50 y.o. guy with maturity and a bit of money hooks up with a mid-late 30s woman and it's acceptable, but a 40 y.o. man hooks up with a 22 y.o. woman and it's perverted. Same age difference, different stages of life. Trust me, all societal norms have latent, practical functions.

And stop "reading" Maxim, it's only Cosmopolitan for men.
