Did anybody see this fight? If you didnt you missed out on a great battle. Margarito won in the 11th round. Who do you fellow boxing fans think he should destroy next? I got a feeling a De La Hoya fight is in his future.

OMg this fight was ****ing amazing bro. People underestimated Margarito's determination and look what happened. Cotto was landing hard and I mean HARD-ASS SHOTS right in his face, but Margarito kept hunting him down until he got him in the end. HOLY **** what a fight. Margarito has my respect now. I hope De La Hoya gets rocked if he fights Margarito.

Yeah bro Margarito has a solid chin. The fight was awesome and in my eyes its the fight of the year so far. Margarito is not a big name but i know he opened eyes with this fight. He doesnt know how to quit. Amazing fight bro.

Missed out? Maybe this week. It'll be free next week!

So the guy with 5 losses so far is all of a sudden unstoppable? Maybe pretty boy will come out of retirement and give him a beat-down.

Why do people think de la hoya is still good? he struggles now against bum fighters. Margarito will knock out de la hoya in like 3 rounds. Margarito should get a rematch against paul williams.

Come back when you learn a thing or two kid.

Unfortunately, Cotto was not the unstoppable train he was portrayed to be. He has been rocked on numerous occassions before, and gassed out big time against Mosley (in a fight I actually had scored for Sugar Shane).

DLH struggles against bum fighters? Maybe you missed him make a very close fight with Mayweather or are you referring to a shutout he put on Forbes, at least a former world champion, with DLH fighting closer to his old glory days under Alcazar, than he has done since leaving him? Now who has Margarito struggled with in recent times? No need to check boxrec.com if you actually watch the fights.

Chump with a big mouth, like so many casual boxing fans.

De La hoya is still a great fighter and really isnt to old. I think Freddy Roach did a crumby job as his corner man when he fought Mayweather.

Cotto is a good boxer but i noticed he had a weak chin when he fought Ricardo Torres. He needs work on his stamina but he is still a decent boxer.

Margarito is a determined boxer. He lost three fights early in his career when he was 16 so he was basically learning as he grew as a boxer and adapted his style. He works hard and fights hard and is a good fighter to watch.

For those who didnt see it you can find the fight at boxlinker.com

The forbes fight oscar was suppose to knock him out early, but it went against the distance. I forgot that forbes was in the contender oh sorry I thought that was a show where crappy fighters fought. Oscar took that forbes fight to sell his next fight which he did so poorly because he was suppose to knock him out early and make a statement. Floyd and oscar fight, if floyd fought that fight with 50% of his potential oscar would have lost in the 7th round only 50% I asked. Floyd put about 10% effort in that oscar fight. Gaucho you probably like boxers that cross dress.

HBO was sure not happy Cotto, their house fighter, was beaten up. Margarito has payed his dues. Put in some serious work in the last 8-9 years.

It looked like Cotto ran out of gas to me. If he could have kept the lateral movement up and boxed like he did for the first 6 or so rounds he could have gotten the decision. Still mad props to Margarito to never stop coming, he is 1 relentless bastard

I hope Mayweather gets his ass beat down. Maybe you'll change you're opinion after seeing the fight.

Maybe, but I think its possible I will conclude in so many words as others here already have. That being, Cotto was never really "all that" and he finally got exposed.

Do you understand what a former world champion is? Not a contender, despite being on a show.

DLH didn't knock Forbes out, but who has? ;) Fool.

Mayweather fought about 10% effort, another good one.

You don't know a thing about DLH, have you seen his fights with Rueles, Leija, Chavez, Gonzalez? That was classical DLH, upright, crisp punches, using the jab, just like against Forbes. Mayweather would have been in for a ROUGH night if he fought a DLH rematch. Or did you watch DLH throughout his amateur career and realise he is a very very well schooled boxer?

Now, Margarito will stop him in 3 rounds? Because he beat Cotto, who has been shaken in NUMEROUS fights? Now, I won't go into Margaritos earlier career, because he was still just a bum, but now he is half decent, he still could not beat Daniel Santos? WTF, and that beast Paul Williams (who is a better fighter than Margarito), lost to Carlos Quintana? Don't talk to me about DLH not being able to beat bum fighters. He has lost to Mosley, Tito and BHOP, two of the 3 he was believed to beat by the majority of fans (in the second Mosley fight that is). BHOP was at middle, DLH was WAY out of his depth weight wise.

Chump, go and learn to box and study the fighters before you go calling BS.

Anazon, I agree, I heard numerous people tell me how Cotto was going to walk through Mayweather and DLH also, now you won't hear it too often. Margarito and Mayweather are not even in the same BREATH! Margarito has struggled with nobodies, Mayweather has DESTROYED an array of world champions. Not to mention, the both of them (Mayweather/DLH) have done it over multiple divisions, whereas Margarito relies purely on fighting smaller guys and walking through them. We all know what happens when he is unable to do that.........

I'm a big DLH fan but I have to admit Margarito is a tall order for anyone. The reason is that he just so relentless and can take so much punishment. Oscar certainly wouldn't be able to hurt him, he'd have to do what Cotto tried doing which is box him.... I think he can do it effectively but we all know Oscar fades in the last rounds and with his age now I'd have to pick Margarito.

I think Oscar should fight Manny Pac.... that will be an interesting match up

To be the best in the sport you have to beat the best. How people were saying oscar dominated that forbes fight. I think those people were blind because oscar was huge compared to this guy or maybe they just wanted to sell his next fight. If you want to think of forbes as a sugar ray robinson, I will let you think that. Oscar can't beat anyone anymore that is relevant to the sport of boxing. Well can we agree that he lost more of his big fights than won felix, shane twice, bernard, and floyd? Where were his crisp punches, and jab in those fights? Admit it he shines like a diamond against bums and gets exposed by top boxers. Oscar wouldnt want no part of Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito if he wants to see retirement. It says alot about a person that likes a boxer that wears fishnets.

I hate discussing DLH now just like I hate debating BHOP because of their age.

BHOP's gonna get a beat-down by Pavlik not because Pavlik's simply better per sec, but because BHOP's just too damn old. If BHOP was in his prime, quite honestly I'd like his chances over Pavlik. If BHOP actually wins that fight, I might just worship the guy.

A few years ago, DelaHoya would never have even consider fighting Paquiao, because he would have been ridiculed by the media and all fight fans for taking on a little guy.

Now, the fact that everyone is saying that fight would be "interesting", or something to be taken seriously, shows how much DelaHoya's skills have eroded. To even think Paquiao, a great, yet much smaller fighter might have a shot at DLH just says it all.

And no, DLH would not fight somebody his own size and age with the ability to beat him up. He fought Mayweather for all the money in the world, yet Floyd posed no thread to seriously hurt him, yet he still stunned him. Margarito can put some serious hurt on an older fighter like DLH.

Lets all get something straight here though.... Oscar is a multi millionaire who hardly needs to lace up the gloves anymore. The fact that he's willling to do so at his age and with his wealth should speak valiancy about his character.

While Floyd may not have 1 punch ko at his current fighting weight he certainly can hurt anyone.... just look at what he did to Ricky Hatton in his last fight. Hatton was undefeated and has never been stopped before Mayweather messed him up.

Oscar felt Floyd's punches in their first fight but he is a tough mofo with a good chin.

Margarito I believe would certainly tank through Oscar, especially at this stage... but I think he'd do it to any 147 pounder outside of perhaps Floyd who is just the sickest boxer I've ever seen.

I have no problem with an Oscar vs Pac match up and I'd find it more intriguing than seeing him fight Margarito
