Hey guys.

I wasnt sure but am now goin to uni, probably manchester.
Have any of you been touni or are in uni now.

I will be moving to manchester for a 4 year course and want to know how you found your university experience.

It will be a new chance to change myself for the better
- All New people
- New place (never been before)
- life away from family

Any input, advice or opinions on university in the UK are very welcome.

Cheers

Not been to Uni myself but have a bunch of friends that have and visted them all. Liverpool, Exeter & Leeds.

It will be a perfect opputunity to work on your social skills and build a bunch of great friends to hang with. Try being a little choosy with who you hang with. Get in with the naturals and learn from them, I love hanging with my natural friends. Also work out who the gate keepers are with the women, getting a cool chick on board that will contantly introduce you to HB's is the bomb!

Freshers week is going to be mental BTW.

Enjoy

I havent been to uni but i have alot of mates there that i have visited. Its great! Just party every day!

Manchester Uni is where my bro is. I worked there during a conference. Its a good uni and manchester has plenty of nightlife. I recommend Deansgate. Main bar street in manchester. Must admit i was disapointed in the quality of women compared to Nottingham.

Best all round uni on my travels was Aberystwyth in Wales. Now they know how to party! Women are good too.

I do want to go to uni as all my friends say its a MUST. I have never seen someone bad mouth it. Work can get hard but thats life.

When you go....Uni is a start over. Make good friends. Make good first impressions on the ladies. ;)

Yeh, I went to Warwick Uni, finished last summer. I wouldn't say I regret going there as such, but in hindsight, I'd have gone somewhere with a better balance between work and social life. I reckon places like Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield would be my choices if I was to start again. Great social scenes in all those cities and better than going down South if you're a Northerner yourself. Not that I've got anything against Southerners....
:p

When you actually get to uni, you wanna be socially networking as much as possible, get to know absolutely everybody.
Also, if you're any good at sport, get yourself in one of the uni teams. I was in my uni football team, great laugh and you get sh!tloads of women cos of it!
Or if sports not your thing, get yourself invlved in summat else, part-time bar work (do nights you wouldn't go out anyway!), drama, whatever, those sorta things provide loads of opportunities to meet new people and meet women.

And finally, don't work too hard in your first year if all you have to do is pass!

Long time reader first time poster. I will tell you, uni is fantastic, seriously, you will have such a laugh, and meet some fantastic people, who have good mates, etc etc. I can't count the amount of people i have met through uni, and I've only been here in Portsmouth about 3 months.

Fully recommend it to you. Oh, and you get a degree when you leave.:cheer:

Dont worry Manc Met is on the main road, meaning you can jump on a bus and get to the centre within minutes. I spent alot of time there with an ex gf and the place is pretty good.

Plently of cool clubs and pubs, just take it easy and you'll fit in fine.
