That man-flu crap was always a way of women trying to look better than men and playing them down all the time. Theres some ridiculous comments there aswell involving some females all 'YEAH I KNEW WE WERE BETTER'!! haha what garbage

Eh it might be true. It would make sense that women would have a stronger immune system simply because they are the ones that get pregnant and have the babies. If a woman gets sick and dies while pregnant, odds are the baby is going to die as well. It would make sense that nature would want women to stay as healthy as possible.

it might be true yeah i just thought it was pretty ridiuculous especially since females like to go on and on about 'man flu' when no guy has said 'ive got man flu' like ever.

It might make sense for women to have better immune systems and such but u gotta admit comments like:

Your immune system is very versatile and adaptable. You don't need to run off to inject yourself with estrogen.

Funny thing about statistics is that they can be distorted to fit whatever agenda you wish.

The reason why women, on average, live longer than men is because men, on average, hold more dangerous jobs (and abuse drugs more) that have profound affects on their health, both short term and long term.

How many women work in coal mines? Black lung. How many women are cops, firefighters, prison guards? Instant death and long term psychological stress. How many women are in gangs and commit violent crimes?

Of course, sometimes women's stronger immune system plays a role in their longer life expectancy. But that doesn't complete the picture. In mammalian species, the larger animal tends to have a shorter life span. How true is this for humans isn't entirely known but it's a good assumption which partially explains why women have longer life spans than men.


And I agree with you about the second part. If you are still mobile and aren't terminally ill, then "man" up and deal with the illness.

My comment had nothing to do with "Maning" up actually. Hell if I am feeling sick (bad headache, diarrhea, flu etc) then I ain't going to hang around some chick and complain. I am just going to go home and deal with it by myself, unlike some other guys who want to make their girlfriend's into their mothers and "take care of them".

If you looked at some of the comments, you would see that most women do not respect their husband's if they become ill and end up doing nothing but rest as a result. It's utter rubbish - it fails to mention women are 4 times more likely to suffer from auto-immune diseases like lupus because of their hormones. Also, looking at statistics for the USA, more women die of infectious disease than men do.

one time i was so sick i could'nt get out of bed.
my temperature was very high and i was sweating like a slave.
i slept the entire day (only waking up for a few minutes).
the only thing someone did for me was give me some pills and a cup of water.

these days this " if a man does'nt do xyz, he's less of a man" mindset is used by people when it's in their best interest.

also, "man up" has got to be the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

I didn't even read it ther are lots of man hating feminatsis who make **** up about men or about beauty not being a function of health and estrogen and progesterone not being the cause of feminity. These articles are a waste of time testosterone GREATLY strengthens the immune system.
