As many have observed, men have fewer masculine role models these days, even compared to the 1980's when most members were born. However, we need to go back to 1960 and see what men were like before we had The Pill (when Womens Lib and Feminism changed everything).

One of the best TV shows ever was Secret Agent Man (aka Danger Man) circa 1960. Though he's not as popular now, Patrick McGoohan was the man. He was chosen as the original James Bond but he turned it down to have a less violent show, and was later The Prisoner. Although he never seduces women as Secret Agent Man per se, he always handles himself perfectly around them: a Gentleman who knows how to put a woman in her place where appropriate. He also dresses superbly in a style that remains classic today. No wonder this show has been buried by today's Feminist media.

You must watch this scene at 17:00 where the woman smacks him in The Honeymooners (how to handle her dumping you).

Then watch this scene at 5:30 where the New York character he imposes as tells the wife to get out (how many of us should initiate NC). The whole 9 minutes is a classic episode though from Name Date Place (it has another scene worth seeing at 3:11).

Who are your male role models?

Mr role models are mostly fictional. Master Yehudi from Mr. Vertigo; any protagonist in a Raymond Chandler or Dashiel Hammett novel; Hayden Caulfield; etc.

Tony Stark if movies can be taken seriously, as much as I consider Sean Connery in 007 superior I think Im more similar to Tony Stark in Iron man.

He simply does what he wants giving consideration to critique only when they have a solid point, he is ambitious and doesnt hide it while having no problems to challenge authorities.

He doesnt even hyde his desire for good looking women or getting the scene for himself and doesnt bother himself and other with fake displays of humbliness.

So the mix of good qualities like ambition and dedication to his work while at the same time a unapologetic and greedy attitude for the rewards he seek.

No signs of approval seeking behaviour or weakness while confronted nor any sign of interest toward shaming techniques or potential risks.

The problem with this thread is that most people will talk about movie stars. These dudes are actors bros. They are ACTING like alphas. James Dean even had a very specific persona he used on camera.

Be your own role model. The beauty of this site is that we know how to act now. We know exactly what we should do in every situation but we figure because we have this knowledge, we can overcome the consequences of betraying our instincts. There are no "role models." Especially not anymore. Take control of your own life. Be someone ELSES role model. If you want to talk about your favorite movies and actors start a thread on it.

The being said, I like Tyler Durden.

Hank Moody
I really like how hank moody handles women and seems pretty realistic,

however there are quite a few flaws in this caracter. like not taking care of himself, being inresponsible, and not caring about anything.

Sure, on television he looks great, driving drunk, using drugs, getting into fights and passing out in his convertable, but in the real world these thing dont work out so well..

I also like old school actors. James Dean, Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood.. shoot, i actually like those cowboy movies..

I also like pretty boys like Leo DiCaprio or Brad Pitt, the ones where they take manly roles.
