Making friends with unattractive women...

I've been hearing a lot lately about how having female friends can really help you meet more women and have more social proof... Etc.

Do they have to be hot for this to work?

The reason I'm asking this is because I have a history of making friends with girls who are kind of cute, even if I don't notice at first. Then I get attracted to them, things get awkward, and usually have to end the friendship because I can't accept being friend zoned.

I'm just wondering if I could avoid this by making ugly female friends.
Or am I just going to be wasting my time?

And if this will help me, how would I go about making a bunch of female friends?

You can make friends with anyone. It doesn't matter what they look like. Best way to make friends is to network with existing friends and attend all functions/parties. If you're expecting them to set you up hope you have better luck than I do. I don't ask to be set up but one girl in particular sets me up with very large women (I'm not fat). Finally when she did it again I told her to never set me up again. I've never been set up with a hot woman by one of my girl friends. Not that she needs to be hot for me to date her just ok

You wont get set up with too many hotties because its the ugly/fatties that NEED to be set up.

That said - make friends with everyone. More social proof, bigger social circle - everyone knows you, likes you and you'll have more chance of meeting hot girls thaty are friends of friends.

Any that see you will wonder why everyone knows you and they dont. There you go - she's already thinking about you.

I agree with that. You shouldn't limit yourself to being friends with just attractive people, that makes you stuck up. Also, less attractive people can sometimes be interesting in other ways.

That said, I don't believe that fat, ugly women give you good social proof, not like being with a hot woman will. Being with a hot woman is what gets women's attention. Any old slag can hang out with a fat girl. But if you're in a crowd and a lot of people know you and like you, that can be good social proof.

It is never bad to expand your social network, so yes, you should do it. No one is gonna make you give those grenades rimjobs in the restroom. You keep it friendly and YOU put THEM in the Friend Zone, all the while improving your social status.

I personally believe that no matter the level of attractiveness a woman who is a friend provides this. Because of the what does she have that I do not factor, especially if you are fashionable and handsome.

I found that having female friends (good, ugly whatever) helps you meet more women period. and as far as social proof, i am pretty sure only hot women can help with that, no ones gonna praise someone for something unattractive by their side.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always had trouble being friends with ugly girls. I just have no motivation to talk to them, to be around them, to be seen with them..

I felt like this all my life, pretty much was annoyed by even making eye contact with an ugly girl, but now i try to use them to my advantage and meet more girls and its actually working for me .
