Actually marketing majors tend to work in very exciting and fast paced fields like advertising (designing ads), creating and analyzing promotions, thinking of product names and ideas and features (yes marketers have a big role in designing the actual products), and many other things.
I am a management major personally, and I love my major. Its mostly all concepts and ideas pretty much no math (except a few classes like ops management and you still have to take finance and accounting).
Management I think is most useful if you're trying to start and run your own business or you want to be promoted into *gasp* Management. A lot of managers in many companies and industries are just promoted from whatever area they were orginially from (since there ain't enough management majors to go around) and it SHOWS big time that they don't have the necessary education to make good decisions.
With a management major you can have the confidence and ability to make GOOD decisions and understand why they do or don't work. Plus management majors and MBAs with management specialization almost always get priority when it comes to promotion time.
