Men, why do you think women constantly tell you to “be honest?”

Women know better than we do that lying to get what you want out of people unfortunately does work. They steer you in the direction of honesty because it tilts the advantage to their favor. If you are honest about your transgressions and your intentions, it now gives her information she needs to control the outcome.

Lying about your age might help you get a one night stand or short term casual sex but will kill any chance of an extended relationship.

Well the "tinder swinder" lied a bunch. Notice the quality of women that fell for him? Not my cup of tea to be honest.

Whatever... those that lie at the very least perpetuate the "creepy old man" stereotype. Do whatever feels comfortable to get pu55y if that's what people are looking for.

I would rather get an escort than compromise my morals if all I wanted was pu55y. That way, I'll save time and hassle.

Hate to admit, but it's true about honesty (Mode One).

Great clip from a great film from the 80s. If I'm honest, I don't think women's natures have changed all that much in 40 years, lol.

For those who haven't seen, Dustin Hoffman portrayed both characters.

And I don't think it would have mattered much if he were black, taller, higher status, etc.

That type of blatant honesty i.e. thirst simply isn't attractive or effective with most high quality women.

The line would have worked if Dustin Hoffman was taller.... and more attractive... or at least developed some sort of sexual tension before hand.

I'm not saying lying doesn't work. It works but it usually works on certain type of women (cough.. cough.. loose) or plain stupid. Refer to the tinder swinder.

I think lying about your age is necessary on the online dating apps to consistently get matches with younger women.
But no easy way to confess. Most women as soon as they catch you in a lie see it as a red flag and even if you try to explain that you are just getting around the algorithm they will feel tricked and assume you are a liar and refuse to believe anything else you say (tip of the iceberg etc). Probably better to just assume most relationships from online dating won't last long enough for them to find out.

Women’s entire mating strategy is based on deception. Return the favor.

The way it works is conceal the lie as long as possible. By the time she gets attached, it is too late for her. She then has to rationalize all the feels, sex, and attachment.

Yeah definitely not worth admitting the lie early on when they are in a mode where they are looking for red flags and reasons to disqualify a man as a potential mate. But yeah if you can get her to fall in love with you and she is not structured and understands the logic for your lie then you might be able to get away with it. And of course there are lots of women who lie about their age!

All that movie clip showed me was that from one second to the next, women don't know what they want. They think of something that makes them feel good in the moment, and believe it, but it holds no gravity after the moment passes. That's why the saying "a woman's perogative is to change her mind" exists.

I went to my first ever 'meetup' event this weekend and banged some girl there that night and knocked off 12 years from my age

I'd have stood ZERO chance with her if she knew how old I really was. Took her back to her parents (who were on holiday) house down teh road and fvucked her. PS - age of consent is 16 here without any age gap rules, before someone calls the police on me lol

Only sad thing is that as time goes on it gets harder and harder to make the lie believable when it comes to the young ones. You just can't be 60 and pretend to be 24 for example haha. Less of an issue if you don't mainly go for the very young ones
