keto and ckd are diets for the last resort (competition bodybuilders to get sub 8% bf), carb cycling in my opinion should be prioritised over any when losing fat and retaining muscle mass.

2 days 2400, 1 day 2000, 2 day 1800, 1 day 1700, 1 day 1600.

dont have starchy carbs after 6pm, limit yourself to fibrous carbs.
keep protein over 120grams, but not over 160grams.

total caloric intake decided by bmr.

You guys are freakin' idiots. 95% of all the "advice" about bodybuilding here is B.S.

As for low carb diets - if you're doing a pre-contest shoot or have hit a plateau and are already in the single digits, YOU HAVE TO GO LOW CARB. Not the ATKINS B.S., but a CKD!

IDIOTS!

A calorie deficit should be THE one deciding factor for loosing weight.
Yeah what about the test that proved you could eat higher amounts of calories then you burn and still loose wieght and build muscle?

Meaning claorie deficit is an old useless idea that sounds good and simple but doesn't work as well as other things can

my point was not that it works or not, but that low carb food tastes like ****. even if i was fat and wanted to lose weight i'd rather run on a treadmill till i pass out than eat another one of those bagels.

i'm talking about all these low-carb breads, pastas, meats, colas(btw if your on a diet and drink any kind of cola, you're a ****en moron). there are naturally low-carb foods that taste great, but for some reason people spend an enormous amount of money on products that were basically castrated and stripped of taste. if you wanna go low carb, then eat low carb foods, not foods with carbs taken out ffs.

Keto is for bodybuilders pre-comp. You feel flat, you feel like death, and you look so ripped that almost no woman will touch you with a barge pole.

There are so many awesome complex carbs out there - use those instead. Then start walking around a lot and take up another hobby. Before you know it, you have your sanity, and you have fat loss!

After reading these Posts....... i shake my head....

Eulogy, Capi & Ben.. seem to be "some of" the only ones who know what they are talking about. Big Ups to you 2.

All this stuff about Calories, Protein intake, 45mins of cardio etc etc bla bla bla..... every person differs.

Eg. 2 guys, same body weight, height, saem training program, same cardio etc..... will get different results.... and then if you add GEAR into the scene.. everything is messed up.... one will need more protein, more calories, and wont need to do as much cardio. I think alot of you guys here need to spend more time in the gym and seeing what works for you instead reading all your magazines.

I know of a guy who was having upto 7000 calories a day 7 days prior to a show (he was Geared to the Hill...but i just giving an example). There are alot of messed up "approaches" to bodybuilding that work... and dont work depending on the individual.

As for cardio.... you dont have to do 45 mins as mentioned before.. 15-20ins of high intensity 4 times a week is fine, as long as your eating well (natural guys) if you do extended cardio sessions you will begin to start losing considerable size (muscle) but if you just wanna trim up and dont care aboutmuscle deficiency.... hey... run your a$$ off.

Please research before you make silly statements. Just ask differnt people at your gym what they do.... ask the people who look good and who look like they know what they are doing.... guarenteed they will not have the same answers, even if they are close to identical twins.
