My mom was diagnosed with it two months ago.

I read a report recently that put it into the one out of hundreds of thousands range but it's out there. In most healthy bodies, one can tolerate small quantity exposure to the bacteria.

Okay, so can somebody tell me how the HELL you manage this diet when you're away from your kitchen? What am I supposed to do, carry around a backpack filled with almonds and ground chuck?

As the others said, perseverance.

At school earlier this year I was taking the whey+raw egg shake at break and then sandwiches filled with beef for lunch.

From June to August working 9-6 I was taking two whey+raw eggs shakes and another meal for lunch such as the sandwiches again or pre made chilli filled with veggies, of course I had access to a microwave for this.

Now I'm at uni things haven't changed...it really isn't all that hard you just need to prepare things in advance. Sandwiches and shakes take under 10 minutes to prepare and that is you set for the day, so there are really no excuses.

I've always wondered.

Why is it raw eggs are preferable to cooked eggs in bodybuilding?

I lost a total of abou 50 lbs or so on a diet smilar to AD. Ketogenic for six days and carb up for one day. If I did it again, I'd load up on creatine+glycine+glutamine to volumize the muscle and keep strenght up. Very effective. Keep calories at maintainence and loose weight. If you stop loosing, just walk some more. Strenght training+walking+AD will get you ripped. Walnuts are your friend. Drinking pure olive oil is a real ***** :p

You might feel a bit lethargic and wierd the first week and maby second week. After that, you're good to go. Drink some coffe to keep your energy up. And take your multivitamins! Eat youre green veggies (broccoli) to get your fiber down or you'll **** bricks every third day.

I've read this before, and while I didn't take it too seriously at first, I actually have kinda felt like I've got a mild flu or something. Plus my allergies/stuffy nose seemed to kick up again in the last few days, don't know if that's just a coincidence or not.

yeah I'll definitely stick it out. Aside from having a hard time sticking to the diet away from my kitchen, I'm totally committed to this diet.

The crazy thing is - this is actually true! No more carb cravings, high bloodshuggar and fast fatgain :) It might take some time to find your sweetspot, but for me I stay between 75 to 100 grams a day at most.

What are some good low carb diet-friendly foods that don't need to be refrigerated? I can't exactly carry around raw egg shakes around with me all day.

Can a raw egg blend sit in your car for four hours and still be good?

Yeah but some people have refrigerators at work where they can store meals. I assumed that's what you did.
