The One is not so much a person as it is an ideal. Your perfect woman.
Ultimately it is the women that are similar to your perfect woman that you find appealing, those that share similar physical and cognitive traits to "The One". The mistake many AFCs make is that they think these women who emmulate traits of their perfect woman ARE their perfect woman. This is simply not the case.
"The One" does not exist, as she is comprised out of pure subcontious lust, she's essentially an imaginary friend. She is pre-made by a man, who judges each woman he meets by her standards. DJs realise this and ignore "oneitis/the one", focusing more on realism than idealism. DJs look to have a good time with women they find attractive, and ultimately aim to bag the best woman they can get their hands on. (Although this isn't their main aim in life, but this isn't the topic for such a train of thought...)
AFCs listen to the voice it and focus on one girl because she is "perfect". To the point where they ignore potential coupling with other women, and the happiness they could find with other women. The sad thing is that somewhere out there is a woman much more like their ideal woman than their current oneitis.
