One thing I don't have (and probably never will) is washboard abs. I always seem to have a little bit of love handles, but I lift weights and exercise so women don't seem to mind. Ideally you want your shoulders to be wider than your waist.
Some of us don't have the genes for that.
I doubt I will EVER have the inordinate amount of discipline it would take for a guy of my body type to get down to 8% bodyfat.
the positive side to this is the fact that I have wide shoulders and a generally muscular frame, so even though it's tough for me to get to a low bodyfat, I carry my weight well.
There's nothing better than a woman putting her hands on your chest, shoulders, and arms when you've put a lot of work into making them bigger. I'm no Arnold, but I'm in pretty good shape. Last year, some girls I worked with told me that they had been checking out my ass and they all wanted to grab a piece of it. So do lots of squats!
No doubt.
Even when I'm not in the best shape I have women commenting on how my "big arms" turn them on.
This is where us guys who aren't 6'1" can make up a little ground. Women don't want tall men, they want men who look like they can take care of themselves. Tall men look this way, but average or shorter than average guys can make up for it to an extent with bulk.
Part of it is the way I carry myself, but I carry myself that way in part because I work out.
Right on.
When I was at my peak I felt like a million bucks and I carried myself as such. Is it a coincidence that I landed a hot 21 yr old gf when I was in the best shape of my life???
I haven't seriously lifted in years, but the good thing is that I retained a lot of the mass I put on when I did, so for me it's just about getting back into lifting and eating right for a few months, then I will be back on my game.
I really need to do it....no excuses. It's just hard when I'm spending my evenings doing video production and such.
Oh wait....that was an excuse wasn't it?
